The Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle is a region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean. It is also known
as the Devil’s Triangle because of the incidents that remain a mystery even in the present day.
Approximately 80 years ago, five Navy planes flew above the area on a training mission and no one
ever saw the crew or the aircraft ever again. Since then, tens, or even hundreds of ships and
airplanes have also suffered the almost similar fate. Some disappeared without a trace while in some
other cases, only the vehicles returned and the crew were nowhere to be found. Different theories
have been raised, from the existence of natural disasters, such as sky-high tidal waves and
imaginary sea monsters, to the captains’ lack of abilities. However, none was convincing enough to
explain the supernatural activities, and bodies of ships and airplanes still lie somewhere in the vast
oceans. Although there are historical records of the incidents, the Bermuda Triangle nowadays
sustains heavy daily traffic, both by sea and by air.
