Installing the computer operating system is the next step after you assemble your computer to make
your unit functional.
Before you install the operating system, make sure that your hardware complies with the minimum
system requirements of the operating system that you are going to install. Be sure to check your computer’s
specifications first. Make sure to back up your previous files before formatting.
WINDOWS 10 INSTALLATION
Step 1: Insert the bootable flash drive, but before doing that make sure that you turn off your computer
before you insert the bootable flash drive to avoid data / content corruption due to viruses.
NOTE: If you are using a CD Installer, turn on your computer and insert the Compact Disk Installer
(Corruption of data in the disc is not possible because it is already written in the disc or not editable).
Step 2: Turn on/ Restart your computer.
Step 3: Go to BIOS to change the Boot Order Sequence. Press the BIOS enter key on your keyboard
(F2, Del, Esc) continuously depending on your motherboards manufacturer.
Step 4. Go to Boot Tab using right arrow key/mouse.
Step 5. Place the Removable Device/ CD ROM Drive (if you are using CD) in the top list.
Note:
• If you are using keyboard, Use the down arrow to select Removable Device/ CD-ROM
Drive, press (+) sign to move to upper level.
• If you are using mouse, click the Boot Option # 1, select Removable Device/ CD-ROM
Drive.
Step 6. Press F10 to exit and save changes.
Step 7. Press any key to boot from your USB/CD. Failure to press will boot the previous OS.
Step 8. Set-up Language you want to use, Step 9 . Click the install now button

Step 10. Type the product key and click Step 11. Select the operating system you

Step 16. Additional partitions for system files is created (System Reserved).
Note: You cannot install Operating system in these partition.
Step 17. Select Unallocated Space to Step 18. Enter size. Click Apply.

Step 19. Format the Partition 3 (will served as your back up area because it is no longer affected when
you reinstall your operating system)
Note: It is only done to newly created partition so that you can use it. Not advisable for partition that
contains your important files because formatting means clearing all the contents of partition.
Step 20. Install Windows 10 Operating System in Drive 0 Partition 2. Click Next.
Step 23. Use Express Settings Step 24. Create account. Click Next
Step 25. Wait until the installation is finished. Step 26. Congratulations! Installation done.
