Students Association's Activities(CSI)


The Computer Society of India (CSI) organized a career guidance event titled "Navigator" on March
1st, 2024, which was attended by 450 participants. Due to its success, the same event was held again
for different branches on March 2nd, 2024, with another 450 students benefiting from the guidance
provided.
The Computer Society of India (CSI) conducted a Speakathon on May 18, 2024. The event focused on
improving speaking skills and had 45 participants.
The Computer Society of India (CSI) organized a Gameathon on May 18, 2024. The event was
attended by 112 participants and received positive feedback.
The Computer Society of India (CSI) held a Web Alchemy Web Design Contest on May 7, 2024. The
contest saw participation from 127 teams, who were able to develop websites as part of the event.
The CSI conducted an 'Ideathon' on May 18, 2024, providing a platform for participants to pitch their
innovative ideas. The event attracted a diverse range of participants who showcased their creative
thinking and problem-solving abilities.
At the CSI's 'Designathon' event, held on May 18, 2024, participants were challenged to showcase
their design skills through various challenges. The event fostered creativity and provided participants
with an opportunity to demonstrate their expertise in design.

A program on Back End Technologies was conducted for II B.Tech (I Sem) CSE & CSBS students
on December 18, 19, 20, 26, and 27 of 2023. The program had 330 participants and helped the
students develop the back-end part of an application.
A three-day workshop on "Industrial Applications in the Era of Generative AI" was conducted by Dr.
M. Venu Gopal, Chief Data Scientist at Medava, for III B.Tech students (CSE & CSBS) from
December 23, 2023, to December 25, 2023. The workshop had 130 participants and received a
good impact rating.
A guest lecture on Holistic Artificial Intelligence by Mr. ASK Sriram, Senior Data Scientist at EMST,
was coordinated by Dr. B.V. Kiranmayee, Dr. V. Sailaja, Mr. N. Sandeep Chaitanya, and Mrs.
Sudeeshna for III B.Tech students (CSE & CSBS) on February 10, 2024. The lecture had 100
participants and resulted in significant knowledge gain.
A session on Project-Based Learning by Mr. Chaitanya Babu M.G., CEO of Cross Papers, was
conducted for III B.Tech students (CSE & CSBS) on February 10, 2024. The session had 75
participants and led to knowledge gain.
An Industry Oriented Skill Enhancement Programme, organized by the CSE Association with Tata
Strive Google Scholarship Certification program, was coordinated by Dr. S. Nagini, Dr. B.V.
Kiranmayee, Mrs. P. Jyothi, and Mrs. Kriti Ohri for III B.Tech students (CSE & CSBS) on February
9, 2024. The program had 130 participants and focused on industry-oriented skill enhancement.
The Algorand Blockchain Clubs (ABC) were inaugurated for the Department of CSE & CSBS on
February 17, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The event had 250 participants and raised
awareness on blockchain technology.
An expert talk on Sales Force Technology and related career options was conducted for III B.Tech
students (CSE & CSBS) on February 17, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The talk had 120
participants and resulted in knowledge gain.
A training session on Coding Competition was conducted for II B.Tech CSE & CSBS students on
February 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The session had 273 participants and received
positive feedback.
A training session on AWS was conducted for II B.Tech CSE & CSBS students on February 22,
2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The session had 76 participants and received positive feedback.
A Coding Hackathon organized by the Department of CSE in association with Fosterate was held
for III B.Tech CSE & CSBS students on February 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The
hackathon had 76 participants and received positive feedback.
A session on Project-Based Learning was conducted for III B.Tech CSE & CSBS students on
February 24, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The session had 76 participants and received
positive feedback.
A Katalyst NGO meeting was held for I & II B.Tech CSE & CSBS girl students and outside girl
participants on February 24, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The meeting had 30 participants and
received positive feedback.
An awareness session on Infosys Spring Board Certification by delegates from Infosys was
conducted for I, II, & III B.Tech CSE & CSBS students on February 28, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00
PM. The session had 300 participants and resulted in significant knowledge gain.

VNRVJIET recently hosted the VNR Design-a-Thon 2024 on March 1st and 2nd, welcoming 96
students in 32 teams, including 14 teams from other colleges and 18 from VNRVJIET. Participants
showcased their innovative solutions to various problems, competing for a cash prize of 40,000
INR.
The Turing Cup 2K24, a national-level annual coding contest, saw an impressive turnout with
1,441 teams registering for Round 1. Held online on March 9th, the event shortlisted 60 teams for
Rounds 2 and 3, which are scheduled for March 28th. Participants are vying for a prize pool of
75,000 INR, presenting new problem-solving ideas.
On March 19th, Collegepond, in association with the Department of CSE at VNRVJIET, conducted
a Career Guidance and Profile Building Workshop. Aimed at II and III B.Tech CSE and CSBS
students, the workshop, attended by 430 students, provided comprehensive insights into entrance
exam preparation, profile building, the application process, and financial planning for higher
education abroad.
Mr. Jimeet Sanghavi, Head Counsellor at Collegepond, conducted a seminar on HDFC Credila for
the students.
Mr. Veera Reddy conducted a series of sessions on Amazon Web Services on March 21, March
28, and April 4, 2024. These sessions benefited 75 II B.Tech (II Sem) CSE & CSBS students, who
learned to work on cloud technologies.
Smart Interviews facilitated a workshop on Problem Solving and Advanced Algorithms - Phase 2,
Batch 1, on March 21, March 28, and April 4, 2024. This workshop was attended by 189 II B.Tech
(II Sem) CSE & CSBS students, equipping them to work on various coding platforms and
participate in coding contests
Smart Interviews also conducted Phase 2, Batch 2 of the Problem Solving and Advanced
Algorithms workshop on the same dates, March 21, March 28, and April 4, 2024. This session had
103 participants from the same cohort, who also gained skills in coding platforms and contests.
Masters Coding held a workshop on Front End Technologies from April 15 to April 20, 2024. This
workshop was attended by 333 I B.Tech (II Sem) CSE & CSBS students, who learned web
development skills.
Turing Cup 2K24, a national-level annual coding contest, held its Round 2 and Round 3 on March
28, 2024. The contest saw participation from 60 teams in Round 2 and 10 teams in Round 3,
including teams from IIITH (4 teams), IIIT Bangalore (4 teams), IIT Bombay (2 teams), VNR VJIET
(26 teams), and other colleges (24 teams). The top positions were secured by IIITH (1st and 2nd
place) and IIIT Bangalore (3rd place).
A Project-Based Learning Hackathon for B.Tech 3rd year CSE and CSBS students was organized
on the 15th and 16th of April, 2024. The event saw participation from 80 students. The hackathon
was led by esteemed resource persons, Mr. Chaitanya Babu MG, CEO of Cross Papers, and Mr.
Arvind Varma, CTO of Cross Papers.

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) certificate course, which began on February 19th and is held
every Thursday, is designed for II B.Tech CSE and CSBS students with a basic programming
language prerequisite. This 60-hour course, costing Rs. 1500, aims to provide participants with an
understanding of AWS compute, storage, database, network, security, and management services.
Benefits include familiarity with AWS tools and technologies, knowledge of how to create, deploy,
and manage applications in AWS, and understanding best practices for AWS architecture, security,
and compliance. Certificates will be issued upon completion.
The Tata Strive Google Scholarship Certification Course, running from February 2024 to June
2024, is open to III B.Tech and IV B.Tech students of VNRVJIET. With a prerequisite of basic
programming language knowledge, this course covers various topics including Cyber Security, Data
Analytics, Advanced Data Analytics, UX Designs, IT Automation with Python, IT Support, Business
Intelligence, Digital Marketing, and E-Commerce. Certificates will be issued upon successful
completion.
K. Sai Krishna, Senior Data Engineer at Williams Sonoma, delivered a guest lecture on 'Idea Vs
Execution using deep work ATS Resume and Linked Profile' to II B.Tech students (CSE-B) on April
22, 2024, from 1:40 PM to 2:40 PM. The lecture was attended by 65 students and was well-
received, providing valuable insights.
Mr. Sai Krishna Katari, an alumni and Senior Data Engineer at Williams Sonoma, delivered a guest
lecture on 'Things to Think and Bridgital Nation' to I B.Tech students (CSE-A) on April 23, 2024,
from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The lecture was attended by 62 students and was well-received,
providing valuable insights
Mr. Veera Reddy, a corporate trainer, conducted a training session on 'AWS' for II B.Tech CSE and
CSBS students on April 25, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and continued on May 2 and May 9,
2024. The training was attended by 75 students and enabled them to work effectively with cloud
technologies.
Srikanth Reddy from Smart Interviews conducted a session on 'Problem Solving and Advanced
Algorithms - Phase 2, Batch 1' for II B.Tech CSE and CSBS students on April 25, 2024, from 10:00
AM to 4:00 PM, with follow-up sessions on May 2 and May 9, 2024. The session was attended by
189 students, enhancing their ability to work on various coding platforms and participate in contests.

them with the opportunity to learn web development skills.
On April 23, 2024, II B.Tech students (CSE-A and CSE-C) along with M.Tech students (SE) visited
Coca-Cola in Miyapur, Hyderabad, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The visit, attended by 107 students,
had a positive impact.
