Principal’s Address
Dear Esteemed Delegates,

I, Semee Shafqat, as the Principal, Beaconhouse Girls Campus Canal Side, extend a
heartfelt invitation to you for the upcoming "Creative Convergence", a distinctive
amalgamation of activities crafted to delve into the creative talents of our
students. Join us in this exceptional opportunity to foster creativity,
inquisitiveness, and curiosity among the participants.

The event is scheduled to be held on Thursday, 22nd of February 2024, at


Beaconhouse Girls Campus Canal Side, Lahore. "Creative Convergence"
encompasses a variety of segments tailored to appreciate and refine the artistic
brilliance and craftsmanship of our students.

We have meticulously designed each segment to provide our students with a


competitive yet entertaining platform to showcase their diverse talents. Your
presence at this event will undoubtedly contribute to the success of our collective
endeavor.

Wishing you the best for an enriching and creative venture. We look forward to

Rules and Code of Conduct

 Students from Classes 6, 7, and 8 are eligible to participate.

 Each school can send more than one delegation.

 There are 4 competition categories in total.

 One delegation can have a maximum of 6 delegates for CLICK FLICK.

 For NUMERICAL NEXUS the team should comprise of 3 delegates, one from each grade

level (6, 7 and 8).

 Individual delegates will participate in Canvas Odyssey and Rhythm Rumble.

 Each delegation must be accompanied by the Teacher In-charge/Chaperone, formally

authorized by the respective institution.

 Punctuality and discipline during the competitions will be appreciated. Any misconduct

will lead to immediate disqualification and strict action.

 The judges’ decisions will be final and cannot be challenged by the delegates or

chaperons.

 All participants must provide their Chaperon’s contact number and email address in the

registration forms for correspondence.

 Incomplete registration forms will not be accepted.

 Any act of plagiarism, obscenity, copying content, cheating, or editing will lead to

immediate disqualification from the event.

 There are three awards for each category: 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions.
 All students must bring their school ID cards and come in proper school uniform.

 All participants need to be aware that the Media Team has the right to photograph and
record videos throughout the duration of the event.
 Teams are expected to be punctual for all scheduled events and competitions.
 Reporting time for delegates is 9:00 am sharp. Delegates are supposed to be here from
9:00 am till 2:00 pm.
 Each delegate can only participate in one category.
 The registration fee payable by each delegate is PKR 1000/-.
 The registration fee should be deposited online or in person.

 Results for each category will be announced on the same day of the competition.

CLICK FLICK
Theme: Sustainable Development Goals

 Films must:
 Contain dialogues
 Depict one of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals
 Include an eloquent message.

Eligibility:

 Shortlisted applicants will receive notifications.


 Films must have a duration between 3 and 5 minutes, including credits.
 All genres are accepted, including drama, comedy, documentary, animation, and experimental.
Dialogues are essential.

Content Guidelines:

 Films must be original works created by the submitting school's students. Avoid explicit content,
offensive language, or materials conflicting with the principles of respect and inclusivity.

Submission Format:

 Films should be submitted in MP4 format only. Subtitles are optional.

Submission Deadline:

 The submission deadline is Tuesday, 5th February 2024. Late entries will not be considered.

Judgment Criteria:

 Creativity and Originality: 10 points


 Cinematography: 10 points
 Storytelling (Plot and Dialogues): 10 points
 Message and Impact: 10 points
 Technical Proficiency: 10 points

Submission Process
 Each school should designate a representative for submission.
 Submissions should be sent to [[email protected]] with the subject line: "[Festival Name]
Submission – [School Name]."

 Selected films will be showcased on Monday, 22 February 2024, during the event. Finalists will be
notified through email by the 20th of February. Filmmakers and representatives are highly encouraged
to attend this screening.

NUMERICAL NEXUS

Competition Rounds, Rules and Regulations:


Round 1: Rapid Fire Round

 Teams will answer questions one by one within a 30-second time frame.
 If a question seems time-consuming, teams can pass the question.
 Each correct answer scores 2 points, with no negative marking for incorrect responses.

Round 2: HANDS-ON

 This round involves a Tangram activity where students must form figures shown within a
specified time.
 Teams earn 2 points for successfully completing the Tangram within the given time limit.

Round 3: Scavenger Hunt

 Students search for answers within a defined space for questions asked.
 Within one minute, teams find will suitable options for the question stated, scoring 1 point for
each correct answer.

CANVAS ODYSSEY
Theme: Reflection of Myself

GUIDELINES

 The competition is going to be an individual task.

 Participants are responsible for bringing their own materials for the competition.

 Poster Paints/ Acrylic paints and 8x8 canvas are recommended for use.

 Participants are required to complete the given project within a 1.5-hour time frame.

 The use of mechanical tools such as rulers or compasses is not allowed.

 The background and foreground of your artwork should provide depth and substance to your

drawing.

 Artwork will be the property of the school.

RHYTHM RUMBLE
THEME: Pakistani (Urdu) Songs

RHYTHM RUMBLE GUIDELINES:

Performance Time Limit:

 Singing performances should be within 3 to 4 minutes. Exceeding this limit will result in

disqualification.

 Participating schools must provide their own musical instruments.

 Participants can also perform on Karaoke.

 It will be a solo performance by the participants.

JUDGEMENT CRITERIA

 Vocal Technique (Pitch accuracy and breath support)

 Musicality (Interpret and convey the emotion of the song)

 Stage presence (Performer’s Charisma, Confidence and Connection with the audience)

 Song choice (Appropriateness of the chosen song)

 Range and Flexibility (Vocal range and flexibility and ability to handle different styles)

 Overall performance (Facial expressions and ability to captivate the audience and overall

engagement)

Participants are urged to adhere to these guidelines for a fair and enjoyable RHYTHM RUMBLE
competition.
