OYSTER - 2024

GENERAL RULES

 Participants should bring their college identity card.


 The participants are requested to complete their registration before 10.30 am on
29th October 2024.
 All the event registrations are open for both UG & PG students.
 Registration fees are inclusive of food.
 Each event should then be registered separately as specified.
 All the events will be evaluated for both UG and PG students separately.
 Students should come in decent costume and exhibit their talents in a disciplined
mindset.
 Smoking, drinking and consumption of any such substances are strictly prohibited.
 The judges' decision is final.
 Participants should adhere to the rules of each event as specified.
 Participation props, music etc for certain events should be confirmed preregistration.
If required contact the event head.
 The participant have to manage the timings if he/she wants to participate in more than
2 events.( If any timings is missed, event co-ordinators are not responsible)
 A participant is restricted to participate not more than two events.
 Cash prize only for PG students.

Kindly Note: It is mandatory for all students to do online registration.


CORPO FEST (CORPORATE WALK)

Rules and Regulation for Corpo Fest:

 Each institution may enter one or two teams.


 Six to eight people from each team may appear on stage.
 The clothing should only be appropriate decent and formal.
 The walk should be centered on corporate themes/management concepts for the
participants.
 Before the commencement of the event, the team heads must present the background
music in a pen drive.
 After their walk, there will be a Q&A session.
 The judges' and organizers’ decision will be final.
 Any form of vulgarity is forbidden.

BRANDALIZING (ADZAP)

Rules and Regulations for Brandalizing

 Teams of four to six people can take part.


 Ten minutes are allotted to each squad for preparation.
 No more than five minutes should be spent on the performance.
 At the time of registration, the product to be advertised will be provided.
 It is not permitted to use any properties throughout the performance.
 The information shouldn't offend or cause harm to others.
 Going over the allotted time will result in deduction of score.
 UG and PG students are considered as similar category in this event .
 Judges will make the final decision.

BRAINBLAST RUMBLE (BUSINESS QUIZ)

Rules and Regulations for Brainblast Rumble

 2 teams per college can participate.


 Each team should consist of 2 members.
 Each college is allowed to have two teams.
 There will be total 4 rounds.
 The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic devices
during the quiz time.
 Audience/Supporters shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.
 If the allotted team is unable to answer the question then the question will passed
on to the subsequent teams.
 Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.
 Supporters and the audience are not allowed to give the competitors any clues or
hints.
 The question will be passed on to the next teams if the designated team is unable
to respond.
 It is not permitted to substitute any team member after registration.
 The judges' decision will be final.

MANAGING MILITIA

Rules and Regulation for Managing Militia

 Two candidates from a college can participate in the event.


 The participants of this event aren’t allowed to participate in other events.
 The participant must be in formal attire.
 On the day of the event, he or she must give in their most recent, colored résumé at
the registration desk with a photo.
 Laptop and a pen drive should be carried by the participants for the event.
 Participants should bring a laptop and a pen drive to the happening.
 Participants must adhere to ethical standards, showing respect towards judges, fellow
participants, and organizers.
 Plagiarism or dishonesty will result in disqualification.
 Arrive on time for all rounds. / Be on time for every round.
 Comply with any changes to rules communicated by the organizing committee.

Round 1:

Preliminary quiz

 Format: Multiple-choice questions related to Aptitude, Current affairs,


Management concepts.
 Time Limit: 20 minutes to complete the quiz.
 Scoring: Correct answers earn points; incorrect answers may lead to penalties.

Round 2 :

EXTEMPORE

 Format: Participants will speak on a given topic for exactly one minute without any
interruptions.
 Time Limit: Each participant must speak for two minute.
 Content: Participants are encouraged to be coherent, relevant, and engaging while
presenting their thoughts.
 No Notes: Participants are not allowed to use any notes or props during their
presentation.

Round 3 :

Case study analysis

 Format: Participants will analyze a provided case study and present their findings
and recommendations.
 Case Study Distribution: The case study will be distributed at the beginning of
the round.
 Preparation Time: Participants will have 30min to read, analyze, and prepare
their presentation.
 Presentation Time: Each participant will have 5 minutes to present their analysis
through PowerPoint presentation or Chart work, followed by a 2-minute Q&A
session with the judges.

Use of Materials: Participants may use Laptop, charts, paper or notebook for the
preparation during the allotted time.

Round 4 :Final round

On stage event

 No specific questions will be provided in advance to maintain spontaneity.


 Time Limit: The session will include approximately 10 minutes of questioning.
 Interview Style: Judges may employ various techniques to create stress, such as
rapid-fire questioning, challenging scenarios, and unexpected questions. Participants
should remain professional and composed throughout.

THEMATIC FORUM (PAPER PRESENTATION)

Rules and regulations for Thematic Forum

 Event will be having two rounds


 First Round: this round will be based on management topic,
 Second Round: this round will be an situation analysis. No PPT is not required
for this round.
 Two teams from a college are allowed to participate.
 Two members in a team are allowed to participate in presentation.
 Duration : four minutes presentation Q & A 2 minutes
 PPT presentations should be brought on a pen drive by participants.
 The judge's decision is final.

RECYCLING CARNIVAL (COLLAGE)

Rules and Regulation for Recycling Carnival

 Only two teams from a college is allowed to participate.


 Team shall be consisting of 3 to 4 members.
 Theme for the recycling (collage) shall be given on the spot.
 Time limit for collage shall be 30 minutes.
 Newspapers and Chart will be provided by our institution.
 All Other materials must be brought by the participants.
 Glue-1, Scissor-1, Sketch(only one brush is allowed) To be brought by
participants. allowed)
 Using mobile phones or any other electronic devices is not allowed at the time of
competition.
 Team may disqualify on exceeding time or deviating from the theme or
unsatisfactory explanation to judges.

Rules and Regulation for Brainstorming

 Team Members should be 2 to 3.


 This game is about to providing business idea related to marketing.
 Both UG and PG categories as same prizing categories if necessary.
 The answer should be related to marketing campaigns customer acquisition related
ideas.
 Your contribution of innovative ideas will be evaluated.
 Participants should assemble in the respected venue on time.
