Narrator 1 - Introduction:
In the world of fast moving technology, where lives get busier than
ever, it is easy to forget the basic necessities of being a human.
One of these necessities being the act of kindness, which is simple
yet impactful to the ones around us. You may ask yourself, “In what
ways could I showcase kindness to the ones around me?”. That
question will be answered by the skit that Keller House will bring to
you today.

NARRATOR 2 - Scene 1: Nesamani is on his way to school,

when he finds a shopkeeper who is struggling to transfer his
food boxes into the shop.

Nesamani is on his way to school when he finds a shopkeeper who

is struggling to carry his food boxes to the store.

Nesamani picks up some of the food boxes in order to help him

Shopkeeper: Ay ay! Wait! Why are you stealing my sweets and

food? Have you no shame?!

He catches Nasemani by the collar.

Nesamani: No no Uncle! Please understand, I was only trying to

help you!

Shopkeeper: confused Help me? Is this your way of trying to

escape from punishment?

Nesamani:No no! I really wanted to help you, that’s all.

Shopkeeper slowly lets go of his collar and allows him to help with
the bags
Shopkeeper: You are quite the boy, you weren’t lying when you
said that you wanted to help me.

Shopkeeper pats his shoulder

Shopkeeper: Now go quickly, don’t miss school.

NARRATOR 1 - Scene 2: During break period, some of the

students decide to buy food from the shopkeeper.

The Shopkeeper is busy selling his food.

Arivu, Lokesh, Muthu, Adhira, Sheela are buying food from the
shopkeeper

Ruby comes to buy food too but is unable to do so, she struggles to
reach and ask for sweets.

Ruby: Uncle uncle! Please take my money, I really want that tasty
Jamun!

No one is responding to her for a while till Sheela notices and helps
the girl in front to buy her sweet

Ruby: Thank you Akka!

Ruby holds Sheela’s hand after she’s bought the sweets and walks
back

NARRATOR 2 - Scene 3:

The school bell rings. Three boys, Lokesh, Arivu, and Muthu,
are outside the classroom, laughing.]
Lokesh: "Best game of lagori ever!"
Arivu: "Until you ate dirt, da. Classic Lokesh!"
Muthu: "But isn't it math next? Sabitha Ma'am will let us in."
[They approach the classroom and notice the quiet.]
Lokesh: "Why is everyone so quiet?"
Arivu: "Did the apocalypse happen?"
Muthu: "No, it's English! Mrs. Verma's in there!"
[They peek in and see Mrs. Verma staring at them.]
Lokesh: "Oh no, Mrs. Verma. We're doomed!"
Arivu: "Quick, act like innocent angels, da."
Muthu: "Angels? Us? Good one, da. But let's try."
[They tiptoe in. Mrs. Verma waves them in without a word.]
Lokesh: (whispering) "Did that just happen?"
Arivu: "Pinch me, da. Ow! Not literally!"
Muthu: "Okay, she's either in a good mood or plotting
something. Let's not find out."
[They sit down quietly.]
Lokesh: "Mrs. Verma is like Gandalf. 'You shall not pass'... but
today, we did!"

NARRATOR 1 - Scene 4: In the classroom, Mrs. Aubrey takes

English class for the students, assigning them their first
project for the academic year.
Classroom setting, all the children are asked to be split into groups
for a project
Mrs Aubrey taps on a table to signal the students to be quiet

Mrs. Aubrey: Everyone, for the english project, I want all of you to
split into groups of two or three people.

Adhira walks up to Mrs Aubrey while everyone forms their groups.

Mrs. Aubrey: What’s the matter, Adhira?

Adhira: Ma’am, I don’t have a group I could join..

Mrs. Aubrey: Is that so? Let me handle that.

She talks to the class

Mrs. Aubrey: Everyone, is any group open to letting Adhira join

them?

Everyone looks at each other expectantly

Muthu: Ma’am, she can join my group.

Mrs. Aubrey: Thank you, you’re a sweet girl.

As Adhira joins the group, Sheela comments on Elaa

Sheela: Oh ho, sweet girl ah?

Nesamani: I bet someone is trying to get into the good books of

Audrey Ma’am.

Muthu: Guys stop, welcome to the group Adhira.

They laugh together

NARRATOR 2 - Scene 5: School is finally over, the students
start walking home together.
As everyone is heading home, Nesamani realises that his lunch
bag is missing

Nesamani: Oh no, I forgot to pick up my lunch bag.

Adhira: Seriously? Couldn’t you have remembered it before we left

the school grounds??

Arivu: This guy’s memory delays everyday, what more could we

expect from him?

Nesamani: Hey Lokesh, did you take my lunch bag by any chance?

Lokesh: Why would I take your lunch bag? My mum makes the best
food, I don’t need anyone else’s.

Sheela: There he goes again.

Lokesh: You know, today I got such amazing Pulisadam and keerai
for lunch-

Sheela: Alright enough, what do we do regarding Nesamani ‘s lunch

bag?

They see the shopkeeper, who is packing up for the day.

Muthu: Excuse me, Uncle. Have you by any chance seen a lunch
bag around here?

Shopkeeper: I’m not exactly sure, maybe you could look around my
shop?
Muthu: Yes yes, thank you.

They are hunting for the lunch bag

Arivu: Seriously Nesamani, how did you manage to misplace your

lunch?

Lokesh: Yeah, especially when it’s yummy, you do know wasting

food is not a good thing.

Nesamani: I wasn’t wasting food, it just wasn’t there in my hand..

Somehow..

Sheela: So it magically disappeared?

Muthu: Most definitely would have disappeared, considering the

magical books he reads.

Everyone apart from Nesamani giggles

Nesamani :Guys please take it seriously, my mum will kill me if I

don’t get it home.

Adhira: It’s difficult to take you seriously since you have a habit of
losing things. First your pencil pouch,

Sheela: Then your maths notebook,

Adhira: Then your slingshot for some reason-

Nesamani :Alright alright, I get it, I have a pretty bad habit of losing
things. Please just, help me out?

A few seconds of searching later, they don’t find it

Arivu: I’m guessing you would have left it at school at this point.

Nesamani: I suppose so… thank you guys for helping me find it

though..

They have a group hug.

Muthu: Guys, let’s help Nesamani by sharing our lunch with him.

They sit together and eat lunch with each other.

NARRATOR 1 - Scene 6: Nesamani finally reaches back home

after unsuccessfully searching for his lunch bag.

Nesamani reaches home, exhausted. His mom greets him

Mom: How was school, sathya?

Nesamani: It was.. eventful to say the least..

Mom (with the rolling pin, with satire)-How was your lunch??

Nesamani -ohh lunch ah (scratches his head ), it was pretty good

maa, with all those extra onions and chillies , you know what? I
even shared my lunch with a dumb guy who lost his lunch bag.

Mom-(shows him his lunch bag)is this the lunch you shared with
your dumb friend??

Nesamani knowing there is no escape began running with his mom

chasing him
The narrator will enter while both the characters freeze on stage-
regardless of Nesamani losing his lunch bag

Narrator 2: As seen from the skit, Nesamani ‘sact of kindness

subconsciously influenced the people around him, making
them replicate his actions in their own ways and situations. At
the end, he also received it from the ones who were influenced
by him. Therefore, let’s learn to spread positivity in such a
manner so that we can make the world a better place. Thank
You, and also let's hope Nesamani can save himself from this
chaos

Nesamani and the mother run off stage.
