What is Fall?
An UNEXPECTED and UNFORESEEN event having
UNDESIRABLE consequences resulting from
workers experiencing a fall from an ELEVATION.

What is Fall Protection?

» Preventing a worker working at a height
from falling.
» To ensure fall arrest force is limited to
bearable limits.

Main Objectives of Fall Protection Equipment

• Try to prevent a fall
• In case the fall occurs- make sure the worker does not suffer any
injuries from structures around him.
• To reduce the impact as much as possible.
Harnesses
The harness may be used for the following applications

• Work positioning

• Fall protection

• Suspension

• Rescue
Body Support

Full Body Harness

Full Body Harnesses are designed to

ensure that the fall-impact forces are
equally distributed on to the stronger
and fleshy parts of the body.

Step 1: Inspect the harness

Pay attention to -
• Damages, cuts and holes
• No chemicals, oil or writing on webbing
• Stitches
• D-rings
• Connections
• General state of belt
• Year of Manufacturing
• Tell Tale Indicators on harness and lanyards.
Step 2: Wear the harness correctly
Body Support Harness

• Need to be inspected before every use by the worker, and at least annually
(documented) by a Competent Person.
• Harnesses should never be modified.
• Do not write on or paint harnesses unless material is approved for use
• Should be taken out of service immediately if defective or exposed to an
impact.
Step 3: Inspect after wearing

• Anchor point should

ALWAYS be on the back or
front
• Check shoulder straps & Leg
straps
• Ensure NO twisted straps
• All buckles/ hooks should
be securely locked
Our Anchorage is secure
Body support is now safe

What about the connecting

connects the Harness to
the anchor is the

Energy absorber

• 600 Kg is recommended
on our body
• Anchor points tested up to
1000 Kg= 10kN
Connecting element
Energy Absorber
• The minimum Fall distance : 6 meters..
Specially designed to
help relieve the negative
effects of Suspension
Trauma
Allows suspended worker to stand
up in his Harness to relieve pressure Compact and Light

HOW TO USE!!!
Connecting element
Retractable Fall arrestor

• The limitation of an energy

absorber is that it may only be used
for fall distance greater than 6 mtrs.

• The solution is a retractable fall

arrestor which arrests the fall within
1 mtr and also provides shock
absorption.

Fall arrestor

• Rope Grab Fall Arrestor

• Rope grab on Kernamental

Rope

• Rope Grab On stainless

steel cable.
Connectors

Rope Grab Fall Arrester

• Fail Safe Design ensures correct usage.

• Arrests fall within a very short distance.

• Easy to install and detachable

• Has unique double security locking system.

Connectors
Unique Double-locking security system

Unlocked Position: Allows the Rope Grab

move freely along with the user.

Locked Position: Restricts the Rope Grab

from coming down unintentionally

Anti Gravity Locking pin: Prevents the

Rope Grab from wrong installation.
