Steps to Link data from different workbooks


Step 1: Open two workbooks at the same time
that you wish to link with each other.
Step 2: You can link the workbook by inserting
formula in one workbook which refers to a cell or
cell range in another workbook.
Step 3: Write the formula and go to another
workbook for linking, click on the first cell that
includes data.
You will see complete address of the another
workbook in the address box
Step 4: Press Enter key.

Hyperlink
A hyperlink is a colored and underlined text that
you click to open a file.
There are two types of hyperlinks.
Absolute Hyperlink – An absolute hyperlink is a
hyperlink that contains the full address of the
destination file or of the website.
Relative Hyperlink – A relative hyperlink is a
hyperlink that contains an address to the address
of the destination file.
Steps to Create a Hyperlink
Step 1: Click the cell where you want to create a
hyperlink. (You can also select an object like
picture).
Step 2: Click on Hyperlink option in Insert menu.
Step 3: Hyperlink dialog box will apper. Select
one of the four types of hyperlinks (Internet, Mail
, Document or New document).
Step 4: Write the text in the text option that will
be displayed on the cell.
Step 5: Click on OK.
