Reestablishing the FL-C Configuration 1.3

Deactivating the Serial Mouse at COM1 port 0

NOTE With the COM1 port of the FL-Compact connected to the XCU
(X5 SPC), it is possible that the mouse cursor will sometimes
stick in the upper right corner of the display.
This is because the FL-C interprets the signals from the XCU
as a “mouse command”.

To resolve this, the serial mouse at the FL-C must be disabled by the following working
steps:
• Disconnect the the COM1 cable at the XCU (X5).
¹ Temporarily the mouse will work as usual.
• Enter FL-C service mode (Activating the Service Mode / p. 13).
• Select the System / System Boot tab.
- Select Exit to OS and enter the reboot password. For this, see the corresponding
entry in the AX Password List, which is published in the CS Knowledge Base.
- Open the Windows Start Menu and select Programs /Command Prompt. A com-
mand box will appear.
- Type devmgmt.msc ↵ in the DOS command box.
¹ The Device Manager window appears (Fig. 7 / p. 11).
