    Description Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor for High Stress Cooling Water Systems

    Application M-2129 has been designed to provide continuous scale and corrosion inhibition for open
    recirculating cooling systems using make up water moderate to high levels of hardness
    and moderate to high levels of suspended solids. M-2129 contains organic inhibitors and
    new, high performance dispersants for the maintenance of clean heat transfer surfaces
    for improved system efficiency.

    M-2129 contains components that will remain active in the presence of chlorine and
    other halogens therefore maintaining performance during routine chlorination for the
    control of corrosion and deposit formation from within the system, thereby maximising
    performance and eliminating un-scheduled downtime and reducing the risk of legionella.

    Dosage rate will be dependent on the makeup water quality and system design. It is
    recommended that addition is made in proportion to the makeup water usage. The exact
    dosage rate and most efficient method of addition for a specific application will be
    determined and monitored by your Metito Consultant as part of our expert consultancy
    service.

    It is recommended that this product is used as part of a complete cooling water


    treatment program to control corrosion, scale fouling and biological contamination.

    Packaging M-2129 is available in 30 kg and 225 kg plastic containers.

    Safety Products in this category are acidic and corrosive to body tissue and must be handled
    with great care. Skin and eye contact must be avoided and gloves and goggles should be
    worn, along with protective overalls and apron when handling the products or solutions
    containing the products.
    Do not store with Alkalis such as Category B (Alkali) and C (Highly Alkaline) products or
    oxidising agents such as Category I (Oxidising) or J (Halogen Donor / Oxidising) materials.
    GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
    Ensure that the operator is fully informed and familiar with the use of the product.
    Avoid ingestion of the product by mouth and nose. To eliminate the possibility of
    accidental ingestion, operator should never eat, drink or smoke when using chemicals. In
    addition, protective clothing should be removed, and the hands washed prior to eating,
    drinking or smoking.
    Store in the original containers and ensure that the cap is always secure.
    Do not store in temperatures above 40ºC or below 0ºC for extended periods.
    Do not stack more than two high for prolonged periods.
    Avoid storing near direct heat and in direct sunlight.
    Store out of the reach of children and away from thoroughfares.
