RECAPITULATION (Final)
RECAPITULATION (Final)
“Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.” Teachers are
individuals who practice continuous learning. This is the reason why In-Service trainings
were developed.
My respect to our very workaholic yet efficient, munificent and innovative school
principal IV Sir Francisco Espinosa. To our two Assistant to the Principal who are both
smart and full of enthusiasm, Dr. Junellen Panesa for Academics & Dr. Victoria Lariosa
Jra. for Operations. Special greeting to all department heads, Grade Level Heads and to
all teachers in LNHS. An Exquisite afternoon.
This afternoon, I am task to refresh you about what transpired this morning.
We all know that all of the knowledge shared to us by our resource speakers even from
the first day until today will surely be successfully observed, utilized/implemented and
will come into fruition.
For a recap…
The INSET program started at 8:00 o’clock by an Opening Prayer, then, followed by the
singing of Lupang Hinirang through multimedia or AVP.
It did not start the ball rolling without the hosts during the morning session, we have Sir
Rey Dumancas & Ma’am Jecelyn Jumawid, who gave us a very smooth. vibrant yet
entertaining program this morning. Well applauded.
To acknowledge everybody’s presence. This was followed by a Welcome Address given
by Sir Jason Guanzon, a Master Teacher II, the Grade 11 Level Head, a person being
called as polymath, a virtuoso, a multipotentialite one.
Ma’am Shiela May Sayosa, did the recap of what transpired yesterday, our 2 nd day of
INSET program.
During the presentation proper, again, to seize the spotlight for the morning session, Sir
Jason A Guanzon, was the first speaker. He dealt with the topic, Capability Building on
IPBT (Induction Program for Beginning Teachers. Its aim is to provide a systematic and
comprehensive support system for the newly hired teachers in order to seamlessly
immerse them in the teaching profession in the public school system. In short, it aims to
guide newly hired teachers who serve from 0 to 3 years in service. He also said that TIP
for T1-TIII is purposely for the career advancement. The orientation of TIP is not only for
newly hired teachers but as well as for the Master teachers who will serve as mentor/s.
His discussion includes the following:
- Course 1 focuses in becoming a DepEd Teacher comprises 3 modules
- Couse 2 Professional responsibility comprises 4 modules
- Couse 3 is on PPST with 3 modules
- Couse 4 is about responding to community Context –
- Course 5 is about the DepEd Teacher
- Course 6 is about the teacher’s personal and Professional Development
- Overall, there will be 6 course workbook. This is designed to be self-paced. The role of
the mentor is to guide the newly hired teacher in answering the coursebook and
regularly checking for the answers.
At the end of the TIP, there will be a portfolio that our newly hired should be submitted
as part of their requirements or output based from the 6 course provided. He mentioned
that the completion of TIP would be done for 1 year.
After the TIP Course Completion Process, the newly hired will take a summative
assessment as their expected outputs. Then, this will be checked by the raters or
mentors. After they accomplished their output, they will be receiving a Certificate of
Completion. Monitoring and evaluation Form for mentors should be submitted to the
division TIP Coordinator at the end of the TIP Year 1.
In his talk he discussed about what happens to other teaching Positions/current items
and its equivalent Retitled Items. He presented how teachers get promoted. Promotion
should be Based on the qualification standards. To be promoted, the first one is through:
1. Reclassification
Step 1: Performance Standards
- Under the Qualification standards are the following: Education, Training,
Experience & Eligibility. For the Training, make it sure that the training attended is
NEAP Accredited.
Step 2: Performance Requirements
Step 3: Selection Criteria & Point System
Then, followed the teacher reclassification process and timeline.
To end his talk, he quote that In DepEd, you will not be working alone, but we are
working in collaboration, in unity to attain our main objective.
Before the next speaker delivered his talk, the Grade 11 Teachers gave an intermission
number.
The last speaker for the morning session was Sir Cesar Ian Ranan, our ICT Coordinator.
He imparted his knowledge or knowledgeable insights about the Microsoft 365
Productivity Online Training through DepEd Philippines. Through his talk, it deepens our
understanding by sharing his expertise about the use of Microsoft 365. Though everyone
is familiar with Office 365 but for us who are not that tech savvy, we need to be oriented
on how to use this tool since most of the time, we only use microsoft word, excel,
publisher & other tool that we commonly used. The topic overwhelmed us with much
needed information. In short, it feeds our minds with in depth information through the
speaker’s presentation.
The speaker started his talk by informing the teachers to remove the files if it exceeds to
100gigabyte maximum limit because the ICTS reserves the tight to delete it. Teachers
have an Office 365 Account and the in-charge will provide a temporary password for us
to avail its benefits in using it. To the newly hired, the central office has the authority to
create their account.
In his talk, he emphasized the purpose on the use of Microsoft 365 among teachers. He
said that this helps teachers easily organize their materials and that’s a real plus. Most
teachers have all kinds of documents floating around for different classes and students.
Here, You can put together interactive lessons and create individualized learning plans.
Staying organized is easy with Microsoft 365. Teachers can easily access all the great
training and tools that are available at any time.
Then, Ma’am Gee Bago, HT III & SIC, gave such announcements and reminders about
the submission of outputs thru google drive such as (PDF) lesson plan, COT 1 & 2, Exam
with TOS, Class Record and MOVs conduct of classes, F2F or online class in collage form,
sample of learner’s output. And the submission will be on January 29, 2024. She
informed us to maximize our time on Monday (the mentioned date) to comply all the
requirements needed. On January 30, 2024, teachers are required to bring their laptop
for the crafting of IPCRF and the said date will be our culminating activity. The venue is
at Miteche Mango Farm, KIDAM, BRGY. OLYMPOG. Registration and attendance will start
at 7:30AM until 8:00am. The principal informed us also to bring our extra food and water
for our safety because the store is not accessible to the venue.
With the said venue, Ma’am Ombega raised her concern with regards to the said venue
in terms of its accessibility and safety. She also raised about the purpose of considering
the venue in doing the requirements/outputs. Ma’am Lariosa responded that the said
concern will be addressed by the Principal.
And to end the program, Ma’am Cherilene Suscano, MT I led the closing prayer.
And that ends my recap. Thank you and God bless everyone.
