 Mobile Internet Protocol.
 Designed by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).
 Standard Common protocol that is designed to allow mobile device users to
move from one network to another network without changing their IP.

REQUIREMENTS
 Compatibility:
 Should not be a change in application or Network protocols.
 Must be able to communicate with fixed system without mobile IP.
 Transparency:
 Mobility should remain ‘invisible’ for higher layer protocols and applications.
 Scalability & Efficiency:
 New Mechanism to the internet must not affect its efficiency.
 Special care has to be taken considering the lower bandwidth of wireless
links.
