A.1 Grid Independence Test
This test was performed at K-Epsilon (RNG - Standard) Turbulence Model
This table shows the variation of pressures with cell sizes and the selected one.

This Graph shows the relation between pressure drop and number of cells in Millions
which shows that the Sixth point (which is 5.5 mm) is the suitable point for our test.

B. Case Description
Assumption of the model:
1. Fluid is Air with constant density (ρ = 1kg /m3)
And constant viscosity (µ = 1.8x105 kg/m.s)

2. Inlet velocity = 10 m/s

3. Outlet pressure = 0 Pa Gauge pressure

4. Solid Walls are aluminum with constant density (ρ = 2719 kg/m3)

This Figure shows the assumptions of Models.

This Figure shows the assumptions of Viscous Models.

State the main suitable size and grid count in Millions:

Cell Size in (mm) No. of MCells

5.5 0.760219

State the used Models:

There are 5 models (Viscous Model) used during our simulations.
1) K-Epsilon - (RNG – Standard) (2 equations)
This model is used in the grid independence test as well as the comparison on the
turbulence model.
2) K-Epsilon - (Realizable – Enhanced wall Treatment) (2 equations)
This model is used in the comparison of the turbulence model.
3) K-Omega (SST) (2 Equations)
This model is used in the comparison of the turbulence model.
4) SST Transition (4 Equations)
This model is used in the comparison of the turbulence model.
5) Reynold Stress RSM (7 Equations)
This model is used in the comparison of the turbulence model.
