Normal Display Interface

Control Pad Button Definition


Normal Operation

Power On/Off
Press and hold the POWER button to turn on the bike’s display. This will power up the
bike and let you use its electronics such as the motor. To turn off these electronics
press and hold the POWER button again. If the bike’s electronics are not used for
longer than 10 Minutes the display will automatically power off.
PAS Level Selection
Use the + Button to increase the level of assistance the motor will provide you. Press
the – Button to decrease the level of assistance the motor will provide you. When in
PAS Level 0 you will get no assistance from the motor. This display offers PAS levels
ranging from 1 for minimum assistance to 5 for maximum assistance.

Display Interface Switching


With the display powered on it will show the real time speed and trip odometer by
default. Tap the POWER button to toggle between other information in the display.
These will toggle in the following order: Trip Distance Odometer -> Total Odometer -
>Max Speed Indicator -> Average Speed Indicator.
Note: When the Trip or Total Odometer reach 9999.9km/miles they will automatically
roll over to 0

Headlight Operation
Press and hold the + Button to turn on the bike’s lights along with the display’s
backlight. To turn off the headlight and display backlight press and hold the + Button
again.

Walk Assistance Mode


Press and hold the – Button to activate the Walk Assistance Mode. This will run the
bike’s motor at a speed of 6km/h so you can walk alongside it. To exit this mode,
release the – Button.
Battery Indicator
The battery level indicator consists of 5 segments when fully charged. These will
decrease as the battery is discharged. When the indicator is flashing that means the
battery is almost dead and should be charged as soon as possible.

Trip Odometer Reset


Press and hold the - Button and the POWER button at the same time for 2 seconds
while stationary to reset the bike’s Trip Odometer.

Display Settings
Note: This menu can only be entered while the bike is stopped.
Press and hold the + Button and – Button simultaneously to enter this menu.
When in this menu tap the + Button or – Button to scroll between the different
parameters you can change. These are labelled as P#.
With the P parameter you want to change selected press the POWER button to enter
the parameter. This is what you will need to do if you want to change the parameter.
When you have entered a parameter use the + Button and – Button to change it.
When changes are done press the POWER button to confirm changes and exit the
parameter.
To save any changes you made and exit the Display Settings menu press and hold the
POWER button. Note that you cannot be entered into a parameter when doing this to
exit the settings menu.
Note: With a new bike you may need to enter a password to enter this menu. This
password is 1212. Enter it using the + Button and – Button to select the digit and the
POWER button to confirm the digit and advance to the next number.
CAUTION: Some of these below settings CANNOT BE CHANGED for proper function
of your bike. Default values for these settings are listed along with the setting.

P1 – Rated Voltage Setting


P1 refers to the bike’s rated voltage setting. This should not be changed and is set to
36V.

P2 – Wheel Diameter Setting


P2 refers to the bike’s wheel diameter. This is used to ensure the speed and odometer
readings remain accurate on the bike. It does not need to be changed. This setting will
be different depending on which wheel size your bike has.

P3 – Speed Limit Setting


P3 refers to the motor speed limit. When set to a certain speed the motor will no longer
provide assistance to the bike when travelling above the set speed. This can be set
between 10-40km/h (6-24 mph)
*Even with the Speed Limit set to maximum the motor may not be able to achieve those
speeds on its own accord.
P4 – Metric / Imperial Speed Setting
P4 refers to the units the display will use for speed and distance. This can be set to
Imperial(Miles)[00] or Metric(km)[01].

P5 – Speed Sensor Setting


P5 refers to the Speed Sensor Setting. This setting does not need to be changed. The
default value is 01.

P6 – Current Limit Setting


P6 refers to the Current Limit setting. This is how much current the battery will provide
to the controller and motor. This setting does not need to be changed. The default value
is 15.
P7 – Assistance Sensor Setting
P7 refers to the Cadence Sensor and the number of magnets on the ring. This setting
does not need to be changed. The default value is 12.

P8 – Power On Password Setting


P8 refers to the Power On Password Setting. This requires a password to be entered
upon turning the bike on for the Pedal Assistance to function. If set to “PSd-Y” a
password is required to power on the bike. If set to “PSd-N” then no password is
required.
• With PSd-N selected press the POWER button to return to the Display Settings
Interface.
• With PSd-Y selected press the POWER button to enter the Password Setting
Interface.
o If you have accidentally entered this press and hold the POWER button to
exit this
o Use the + Button and – Button to change the number. Use the POWER
button to move to the next digit. With all 4 digits set press the POWER
button to exit.
Display Factory Reset of Settings
Press and hold the POWER Button and + Button to enter the Factory Reset Interface.
If you need to reset everything select dEF-y and press the POWER button. If you do not
need to reset anything press the POWER button with dEF-n selected. You can switch
between dEF-n and dEF-y using the + Button or – Button.

Error Code Definitions


The eBike display monitors some of the electrical components of the bike for any
problems. Below is a list of the possible error codes and what they mean. Consult
Biktrix Support if you need assistance in resolving these errors.
