 By the name itself, Empowerment technology,
empowering the world with the use of technological
advancement, where this technology helps us in our task quickly
and dependably with ease. Technology has many uses and
offers a significant variety of roles to our lives specially for
students. Technology is essential when it comes to efficiency,
accuracy, and can be also enjoyable by doing some things that
have value or good benefits to us by the use of gadgets and
computers. Empowerment Technology deals with the use of
different technologies such as mobile phone, laptop, desktop
software, telephone, and any other devices to communicate,
share, receive and learn. Empowerment Technology is very
essential for our daily lives. It is very important in terms of
communication since it can connect with your family, peers,
friends, relatives, and people with devices in the world. Days go
by, a bunch of gadgets and other devices have improved its
features. Before, people used keypad phones that can be used
for text and call only. Now, due to technological enhancement,
the old text and call phone was upgraded to touchscreen
cellphone where a lot of features have been added, such as
you can now play different games, access different applications.
In the modern day, people can now make video calls to see the
people they want to communicate with live, a feature that was
absent in the old model cellphone. Modern day mobile phones
are also used to send text messages and online messages via
social media by the use of the internet such as Facebook,
messenger, X, Telegram, Instagram, Discord, and many more.
Technological advancements continuously shape every aspect
of our lives. Technology is constantly improving and defining
what is possible. Get inspired by how this progress transforms how
people live, work, and interact with the world around us.

Information Communication Technology (ICT) can make

the world interconnected in the online world. It refers to the use
of communication technology such as laptop, smart phones,
tablet, telephone, internet, and there are more to explore. But
we must use these advantages or features, we need to be
technology empowered to ensure awareness for the digital
community. We started with web 1.0, the web where you can
only read through the content. A few years have passed, web
2.0 came out where users can now classify and arrange
information, can have high interaction with the content of the
page and can achieve a level of expertise. Users can also put
content on their own web page like comment, evaluation, and
etc., also offers an easy access shop and businesses where they
sell different goods and commodities such as shoppee, lazada,
shein, and more. But as the time goes by, web 3.0 emerged,
people can now use it online and can communicate with
people in unique ways. In web 3.0, you can also create a profile
to give the other user an insight about you. It provides a
framework that allows data to be shared and reused. However,
every click is a decision, we need to be careful when using
online as other people might steal your identity or personal files,
and there is a high possibility that your files might be deleted by
malicious software. In the world of online, we must think
positively, always remember that you need to "Think Before You
Click". Information Communication and Technology (ICT) is not
only for sharing information, there are alot of specific purposes of
every development of contents such as creating or producing
documents, presentations, databases, charts, and graphs. Tools
for creating content are essential for every day task, where it
helps people manage their time due to efficiency of technology.

In this generation, social media is often updating, more

features are showing, and it has become more accessible. One
of them is Facebook which is also an example of interactive
multimedia, where when you happen to open Facebook, you
can easily notice the integration of text, sound, graphics,
animation and video into a single unit. Facebook is the most
popular social media, the second most visited next to Google.
Facebook offers a variety of tools where we can create, edit,
update, market and analyze pages, meaning that the user has
control over the program. Games are published, online tests, and
online learning occur, where people in this generation were
looking for some functionality that will be used in the future.
These days, it is rare to see childrens playing on the street.
Instead, most children nowadays are always facing their
gadgets which separates them from old times. As children tend
to overshare personal information online, they are exposed to
the security dangers of using Facebook. They can become
victims of online scammers who seek to steal their identities. Using
the Parent Dashboard from their Facebook account, parents
can manage their child's friends, monitor their activity and
change their account settings. When using Facebook as a tool
or platform on the web, make sure to update every time.
Updating allows you to check daily on the visitors especially on
their posts, reactions, comments and suggestions to maintain
and sustain the operation of your ICT project. Using social media
is enjoyable, you can upload and download every information
you want or need. As a responsible user of this technology, we
should never engage in any cybercrimes but instead we can use
social media as an advantage to promote advocacies to
eradicate misinformation and promote the real information.
Respect the privacy of others. Remember that behind every
screen is a human being with independent thoughts and
feelings. Netiquette is the first thing you should learn when
engaging with the world using the internet.

Empowerment Technology, empowers me to socialize with

people around the world not only to entertain but to help myself
to improve my socializing skill which it gives a significant part of
the life given to me, for those who i’ve interacted with, and for all
the people around the globe. Empowerment technology is
essential because it can help people overcome barriers and
achieve their goals. Empowerment Technology also helped me
enhance my skills in editing, learning which I am so very thankful
for. I can apply those lessons I've learned especially in my studies
to help me be more efficient when it comes to seeking
knowledge. I can also share advocacies through social media
where I can spread awareness for people around the world. With
the help of empowerment technology, I can be more
productive in every task assigned to me especially because I am
a student and still learning. However, it is important to be careful
when using technology. It is important to choose reputable
sources of information and to be aware of the potential risks of
online activities, such as cyberbullying and identity theft. It is also
important to use technology in a way that promotes positive
mental health and well-being. It is highly recommended to use
technologies as it makes life easier, but there are limits to relying
on technology as it might affect your personal status and might
become the reason for being lazy at doing tasks without
technology. Always relying on technologies might lose your skill
due to disuse, so while the technologies are evolving, we must
keep it in our mind to not abandon our traditional way of doing
tasks. Empowerment technology taught me how to be safe
online and online ethics, how to research better, image
manipulation/editing, how to manage ICT projects that involve
social change, how to make a website, etc.

Technology is changing the world super fast, and it's

awesome how it's helping us get ready for the future. We are
learning to use computers and other gadgets to find information
and chat with people, which is going to be super important for
our jobs. We're also learning to think critically, be creative, work
together, and solve problems, all thanks to empowerment
technology who teaches us about this technological world. It's
like having a cool toolbox to help us succeed in our goals.
Empowerment technology taught us that it helps people to
overcome their social and economic challenges, but always
remember that we must use these advantages in a manner. We
must be careful of what and who we are interacting with, we
must block the mail, delete, or report it immediately to the
nearest police station when encountering an issue to address
the problem immediately and can probably lessen scammers in
this technological world. Let’s continue discovering the essence
of technology, not just for ourselves, but for everyone in the
world. Empowerment technology is the key to success for
adhering the people to the proper way of using technology.
Those lessons will truly help me in the long run of my social life
especially when I use the ICT tools and programs that I was
taught about.
