Dear Principal,

On behalf of the DEVX Society, we are excited to


introduce DeVyte 1.0, the first edition of a
technology-focused event at Tagore International
School, East of Kailash. As we celebrate 60 years of
excellence, this initiative reflects our school’s
enduring vision to lead in educational innovation,
fostering a blend of creativity, skill, and digital
awareness among our students.

Under the inspiring theme, "AI Unplugged”, our focus


is set on demystifying artificial intelligence to create
a more accessible and empowered digital future for
all.

This two-day online event is designed to ignite


passion for technology and innovation among
students, offering a range of technical and fun
challenges like Double Peek, Code Craft, Hackathon,
and Harmonic Trends. Alongside, we’re embracing
digital creativity with segments like Crack the
Algorithm.
Tagore International School has always upheld a
standard of excellence, and with your support, we look
forward to making DeVyte 1.0 a memorable
experience for everyone. We look forward to the
talent, enthusiasm, and dedication your students will
bring to make this event a success.

Event Mode: Online

Registration begins on 18 November 2024. Schools must


confirm their participation by using the registration links
enclosed in this brochure latest by 25 November 2024.

The last date for submission of online entries is 1


December. No late submissions will be entertained.

Plagiarism will lead to instant disqualification.

Participating teams are advised to keep visiting our


discord, website and Instagram page for the latest
updates.

All participants are required to join the discord server.

All entries will be analyzed by a panel of judges. Decisions


of the judges will be final and binding.

The mobile numbers of the participants provided during


submission of entries must be available on WhatsApp.
E-Certificates will be sent to all participating schools on
their registered email ID.

In case of any queries, contact the concerned in-charges


on the mobile numbers provided or via discord.

To be eligible for overall recognition, schools must


participate in all events.

Guidelines for the gaming event:-


Participants are required to register their team in the following

Participants are required to join from the name of their In-Game


IDs that they have registered, change of IDs is not permitted.

During the time of the matches, at least 3 participants are


required to be in the discord Voice Channel with their mics
turned on as a moderator will be with them.
Any kind of misbehaviour/toxicity will not be tolerated, violation of
this would result in immediate disqualification.

If any change in participants, the school or the students have to inform


the event in-charges a day prior to the event.

Guidelines for Prelims :


The game mode for prelims would be a 5v5 swiftplay
It will be a best of 1, a single knockout
Map Pool would be of all the maps
Map Veto and Choosing of the sides will be done live

Guidelines for the Semi-Finals:


The game mode will be a stand 5v5 competitive match
It will be a best of 1, a single knockout
Map Pool would be of all the maps
Map veto and choosing of the sides will be done live

Guidelines for the Finals :


The game mode will be a standard 5v5 competitive match
It will be best of 3, the team with most wins would win, In case of a draw
the cumulative round differences would be counted and the team which is
winning with most rounds will be declared winners
Participants will be given a 15 minute break between each match
Map veto and choosing of the sides will be done live

creativity, and take on a challenge like never before? Join us for an epic
hackathon that’s not only about coding but also about making lasting
connections and having fun along the way. Grab your laptops, fuel up with
some caffeine, and let’s code, collaborate, and innovate together!

Theme: AI Unplugged
Software: Wix, PowerPoint, Canva
Classes Eligible: IX-XII
Number of Teams: Multiple
Number of Participants per Team: 1
Duration: 2 Days

Each school can send multiple teams, but only one participant per team
is allowed.

Participants will be randomly paired into teams with members from other
schools. Each team will consist of 3-4 members(depending on number
of participants). Details of the teammates will be shared a week before
the event.

All projects must be created using Wix.


Projects should be original and creative. Participants must ensure their
work does not violate any copyright.

Teams will receive a project prompt(based on overall theme) on the first


day and will work collaboratively to create their pitch deck and website.

On the second day, teams will prepare a 3-minute virtual elevator pitch
to present their project. The pitch deck can be created using Canva or
PowerPoint

The pitch must cover the solution , the feasibility(no need to focus
too much on finances) of the solution, the expected impact on the
target audience, and a showcase of their created website.

Teams must submit their Wix project link and any supporting documents
by the deadline specified during the event.

Using Python’s Pandas, we’ll dive into an artist’s journey, genre shifts, and
game-changing songs. See how milestones, streaming data, and industry
moments shape music over time. Ready to explore the beats that define
culture?"

Theme: “The Rise and Fall of Music Trends”


Software: Python (Pandas Library for Data Analysis and Visualization) and
PowerPoint Presentation
Classes Eligible: IX-XII
Number of Teams: 1
Number of participants per team: 1-2

About the theme:


Explore how music trends evolve by visualizing the journey of an artist, genre,
or song using data such as streaming numbers, sales, and popularity metrics.
Analyze how these trends change over time, highlighting key milestones and
shifts in the music industry.

Guidelines for Prelims:

Choose a specific artist, genre, or song to visualize its rise or decline.


Use credible data sources such as Spotify, Apple Music, official charts,
etc.
Metrics can include streaming numbers, album sales, listener
demographics, or social media mentions.
Visualize trends and highlight key milestones like peak popularity or
major releases.
Analyze the data visually using charts and graphs (e.g., bar graphs, line
graphs, pie charts, etc.).
Creative visual representations are encouraged—use creative data
visualization techniques to highlight trends and patterns (e.g.,
infographics, custom-designed visuals).
The visuals should be clear, engaging, and easy to interpret.
The presentation should consist of a minimum of 5 slides.
Submit your presentation in PowerPoint (PPTX) or PDF format.
Submission must be made by 1 December 12:00 pm Noon.
Ensure all data is accurate and verifiable, with citations included.
Create a compelling narrative around the trends, discussing external
factors and highlighting unique or unexpected trends.
The project must be created using Python with the Pandas library for

Guidelines for Finals:

The top 8 teams will qualify for the final round.


Finalists will have 5-7 minutes to explain their data and trends,
discussing the insights drawn from their analysis.
The presentation should focus on explaining the data, trends, and key
insights derived from the analysis.
Visuals should be clear and easy to interpret.
Ensure that all data is accurate and verifiable, with proper citations
included.

About the theme:


The event theme focuses on a futuristic chatbot that helps users by
automatically scheduling and placing orders based on their needs and
routines. This advanced chatbot uses AI to understand user preferences and
habits, taking care of tasks like ordering groceries, scheduling appointments,
and recommending activities. It aims to make everyday life more convenient
by anticipating and managing routine tasks without requiring constant input
from the user.

Guidelines for Prelims:


The app must be created using MIT App Inventor based on one of the
provided themes.
The app should be original and creative.
Ensure that the app does not violate any copyright laws.
The submission must include:
Source Code: Upload the .aia file (MIT App Inventor project file).
Compiled File: Upload the .apk file (Android application).
Video Presentation: Record a brief video (maximum 2 minutes) explaining
the features and applications of the app.
The video should show participants demonstrating the app's utility with
each option.
Rename your .apk, .aia, and video files as
“SchoolName_BranchName_ParticipantName” (e.g., MBS_Dwarka_Rahul)
before uploading.
Files must be submitted in a drive link.
Submission must be made by 1 December 12:00 pm Noon.

Guidelines for Prelims:


The top 8 teams will qualify for the finals.
Participants will need to give a 2-2.5 minute virtual elevator pitch about
their app.
During the pitch, participants should also give a live demo of the app,
showcasing its main features and functionality.

About the Event:


Test your social media management skills in the "Crack the Algorithm"
Challenge! Participants will design and execute a comprehensive social
media strategy aimed at enhancing engagement and growing an Instagram
presence. This challenge is perfect for those eager to showcase their
creativity and strategic thinking.

Guideline for Prelims:

A real-world brand will be assigned to your team.


Brands will be assigned upon registration, so the sooner you
register, the more time you'll have to strategize and elevate your
brand's growth.
Create original content, including posts, stories, carousels, and Reels
tailored to the client’s audience.
Use relevant hashtags and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
Utilize Instagram Insights to monitor engagement and adjust your
strategy based on metrics.
Avoid artificial engagement (e.g., bots, fake followers). There will be
negative marking for the same.
Organic growth will be preferred.
Prepare a PowerPoint (PPT) presentation that outlines your strategy, content
examples, posting schedule, and success measurement.
Submit a PowerPoint (PPT) presentation with a minimum of 5 slides in pdf or
pptx. Format.
Submission must be made by 1 December 12:00 pm Noon.

The PPT must include:


A detailed strategy for growing an Instagram presence for the chosen brand
Examples of proposed posts, stories, carousels, and Reels.
A content calendar and posting schedule.
Metrics for success and plans for tracking engagement.
