Job Description: IT Maintenance

Arrival and Setup


Sign In at the counter using LinkSafe QR code.
Notify manager and store staff of your arrival.
Locate the IT rack in the back of the house.

IT Rack Checks
UPS Check: Look for error lights/messages, unusual noises.
Server Check: Look for error lights/messages.
Monitor Check: Ensure it displays security cameras/system.
Dust Check: Clean if necessary.
Photo Documentation: Take photos of the front of the rack.

Back of House Checks


PC Functionality: Turn on and check all PCs.
Phone/Peripheral Check: Ensure all peripherals work.
Storage Check: Ensure C: drive has >10% free space.
Software Check: Ensure Software Centre is installed.
ODBC Configuration: Ensure ODBC is configured.
RDP Session Check: Ensure JB Menu shortcut opens RDP session.
Shortcut Cleanup: Remove unnecessary desktop shortcuts.
Test Print: Perform a test print on each PC.
PC Reboot: Reboot if uptime >2 days or updates needed.
Manager's Laptop: Perform above checks on manager's laptop.
Peripheral Check: Ensure all printers and charging bays work.

Front of House Checks


PC Functionality: Turn on and check all PCs.
Phone/Peripheral Check: Ensure all peripherals work.
Storage Check: Ensure C: drive has >10% free space.
Software Check: Ensure Software Centre is installed.
ODBC Configuration: Ensure ODBC is configured.
RDP Session Check: Ensure JB Menu shortcut opens RDP session.
Shortcut Cleanup: Remove unnecessary desktop shortcuts.
Test Print: Perform a test print on each PC.
PC Reboot: Reboot if uptime >2 days or updates needed.
RPDs Check: Ensure primary comms mode set to IP SSL.
EFT Logon: Perform FUNC 8 7 on RPDs, ensure EFT logon on pinpads.

Departure
Report to Manager: Inform findings/issues, get signature.
Sign Out using LinkSafe QR code at the counter.
Additional Notes
Confirm if there is any IT equipment in easily missed places.
Assist store staff with quick IT issues.
Log Tickets: Ask store to log a ticket with IT Support for non-urgent issues.

• Faulty monitor connected to PC AU132-SERVICE02


• JB menu not working on PC AU132-SERVICE02, WKSTN07 and 04
o Called IT support and resolved the issue
