COURSE DESIGN

Course Title : ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY A2 LEVEL

Nominal Duration : 152 hours

Course Description:

The ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY A2 Level consists of competencies that a


person must achieve in listening, speaking, reading and writing at a waystage level aligned
to Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) standards.

This course is designed to equip job-ready Filipino workers so they can understand
sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance
(e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment),
can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of
information on familiar and routine matters and can describe in simple terms aspects of
person’s background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

Upon completion of this program the learners should be able to pass any language
proficiency examination corresponding to A2 Level.

Trainee’s Entry Requirements:

Trainees or students who want to enroll in this program should possess the following
requirements:

● Must be at least eighteen (18) years old and above;


● At least High School graduate or holder of an ALS certificate of achievement
(secondary) or Senior High School graduate;

1. Original and photocopy of ANY of the following:


● College Diploma or Transcript of Record;
● High School Diploma (Old Curriculum or Senior High) or ALS Certificate (secondary);
● Form 137; and
● Certification of Grades or True Copy of Grades.
