Guidelines for preparing Internship Report:

1. Internship report should be typed neatly only on one side of the paper with 1.5
spacing on a A4 size bond paper (210 x 297 mm).
2. The margins should be: Left – 1.25″, Right – 1″, Top and Bottom – 1″.
3. The total number of reports to be prepared is
 One copy to the department
 One copy to the concerned guide
 One copy to the candidate.
4. For making copies dry tone Xerox is suggested.
5. Every copy of the report must contain
 Outer title page with a cream plastic cover (spiral binding)
 College Certificate in the format enclosed
 Industry/ Organization Certificate
6. The organization of the report should be as follows
 Outer title page
 Certificate (College and industry)
 Declaration
 Acknowledgments
 Table of Contents Numbered in roman letters
 List of tables & figures
7. Chapters (to be numbered in Arabic) containing
 Company Profile
 About the Department/ Company
 Tasks Performed
 Reflection Outcomes
 Conclusion
 References / Bibliography (No chapter number)

Main body of the report divided appropriately into chapters, sections and subsections.
 Title of chapter should be centered with chapter number (font size 18 with
Bold).
 The chapters, sections and subsections may be numbered in the decimal form
for e.g. Chapter 2, sections as 2.1, 2.2 etc., and subsections as 2.2.3, 2.5.1
etc.
 Section/subsection numbers along with their headings must be left justified.
 Section number and its headings in font size 16 with Bold.
 Subsection and its headings in font size 14 with Bold.
 The body or the text of the report should have font size 12.
 The header must include Title(left side) and USN (right side)
 The footer must include Department Name (left side), 2023-2024 (middle)
and page number (right corner side).
 The figures and tables must be numbered chapter wise for e.g. figures in
chapter 1 (Figure 1.1, Figure 1.2 and name of the figure: towards the bottom,
and table name should be towards the top).
Reference/Bibliography: The references should be numbered serially in the order of
their occurrence in the text and their numbers should be indicated within square brackets
for e.g. [3]. The section on references should list them in serial order in the following
format.
[1] For textbooks –Pang-Ning Tan, Michael Steinbach, Vipin Kumar,
Introduction to Data Mining , 2nd Edition, PEARSON.

[2] For Journals – R. Shaikh, S. Siddh, T. Ravekar, S. Sugaonkar, “Visual


Cryptography Survey”, International Journal of Computer Applications , vol.
134, no.2,pages:33-38 2016

[3] For Conference papers: S. Roy, P.Venkateswaran, “Online Payment System


using Steganography and Visual Cryptography,” in Proceedings of IEEE
Students’ Conference on Electrical, Electronics and Computer Science,
2014.
8. Report should be minimum 30-35 Pages.
9. Proper attention is to be paid not only to the technical contents but also to the
organization of the report and clarity of the expression.
10. Due care should be taken to avoid spelling and typing errors.
11. The student should note that report-write-up forms the important component in the
overall evaluation of the internship.
12. Before taking the final printout, the approval of the concerned guide is mandatory
and suggested corrections, if any, must be incorporated.

*Beginning of the every chapter should not include header only footer
