Mahmud Bro
To,
The Visa Officer
Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany
11 Madani Avenue, Dhaka 1212, Bangladesh
Subject: Application for Remonstration/Review of my Visa rejection.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally appeal against the rejection of my visa application dated 14 November 2024,
referenced as GZ RK 516 VI/DEU/504700/20241111/000102060.
The rejection of my visa application based on concerns regarding my proven level of academic
performance. I appreciate the embassy’s thorough review, and I would like to provide further
context to clarify my situation.
My result for the first 25% of the course was 2.82 out of 4. However, my performance
declined after completing this initial portion. One of the requirements for a bachelor's
degree at German universities is 13 years of education, which I completed with good
grades. After that, I focused on preparing for the IELTS to meet another requirement
and worked in a study-related job from December 2022 to April 2024.
With a longstanding aspiration to pursue studies abroad since my teenage years, Germany emerged as
my preferred destination due to its absence of tuition fees and reputation as one of the best countries for
completing a bachelor's degree, offering the added advantage of semester exchanges. Following the
completion of 25% of my bachelor's degree at Govt. Bangla College, University of Dhaka, achieving a
GPA of 2.82 out of 4.00, I resolved to gain practical experience in my field of study. Securing a position
in the CSR Department, I perceived this opportunity as instrumental in broadening my perspectives and
fostering motivation. Consequently, I directed my focus towards this job to acquire valuable experience,
albeit resulting in a decline in my academic performance after completing 25% of my coursework.
During this period, I encountered a 12-month waiting period at the embassy. Given that I had already
met the German university's prerequisite of completing 13 years of education, I felt reassured about my
academic standing. While preparing for the IELTS exam from October 2022 to February 2023, I found
myself concurrently managing second-year examinations. Believing that my German visa process would
conclude by October 2023, I inadvertently prioritized my job over exam preparation as I believed it will
help when I start my bachelors in Germany and after the completion of the bachelors, leading to
unsatisfactory results.
The embassy-waiting period was like a maze, should I continue studies or focus on practical experience
that was the reason for low CGPA after 25%.
Between my IELTS preparation, simultaneously I took self-preparation for 2nd year exam and maintain
full time job, balancing those schedules was extremely challenging. I started job from December 2022 to
April 2024. The job duration was weekly 6 days and 9 hours per day, was another reason for low
CGPA after 25%. After completing my IELTS preparation, I began researching on German universities
and found my desired course by which I utilize my time.
In getting ready for my bachelor's in Germany, I actively sought practical experience relevant to my
studies. My strong motivation to excel in a diverse academic setting in OTH Amberg Weiden University
will drive my commitment to academic achievement. By focusing on hands-on experience in my chosen
field, I believe this will sharpen my focus and give my studies a clear purpose.
Starting in CSR within Operations and later moving to Customer Experience, I learned key business
strategies, the importance of customer satisfaction, effective communication in business, and
relationship building. This practical experience not only prepares me for academic challenges but also
sets a strong foundation for my future study and professional growth.
While grappling with challenging subjects like Business Mathematics and Business Statistics due to
limited guidance, my proficiency in areas such as Business Communication, Microeconomics, and
Macroeconomics from self-directed study underscored my capacity to excel in demanding academic
spheres.
The warm welcome note from my German university, affirming the exceptional qualifications of their
professors and the practical knowledge imparted, further bolstered my confidence. This assurance,
coupled with my unwavering commitment to continue my studies despite escalating waiting periods,
reflects my determination and preparedness to succeed under pressure, reinforcing my resolve to
complete my bachelor's degree in Germany.
The rejection of my application seems to stem from a misinterpretation of its purpose. My aim was not
for a "stay of purpose" but rather for educational pursuits—a "study purpose."
Potential concerns may have arisen due to my past academic performance. Despite this, I successfully
completed 25% of my credits with a commendable GPA of 2.82 out of 4, securing admission to OTH
Amberg-Weiden. While the calculation of the waiting period perplexed me, I diligently utilized my time
with the hope of enhancing my academic journey in Germany, emphasizing practical experience.
Furthermore, my deep affection for my aging mother, who is currently 51 years old, underscores my
desire to spend valuable time with her. With our family property serving as a stable residence, my
intentions do not include permanent settlement in Germany after completing my studies,
Having endured a 25-month wait for my visa, I maintained hope, buoyed by my strong performance in
my first year. Productively balancing work, IELTS prep, research on German universities, and academic
readiness, I faced formidable challenges. The rejection left my family and me emotionally shattered,
considering the investments of time, money, and energy for my German university enrollment now
seemingly wasted. With unwavering self-assurance, I wholeheartedly commit to my goals and have
dedicated substantial effort to preparing for studies in Germany.
I respectfully urge the visa officer and German Embassy authorities to review my application, confident
that my academic track record, language skills, professional experience, and genuine study intent meet
visa criteria. I stand ready to furnish any additional documentation needed to support my plea, hoping
for a positive reconsideration.
Sincerely,
Mahmudul Hasan

My friend and family advise me to focus ielts exam more then 2 nd
year exam . because I will restart my bechalor from begin in Germany . I hope I
convince you why my 2nd year result is so poor grade.
