fruit flesh & peel
The body of the fruit is worked all in one piece, starting with the
white flesh and changing to the pink peel. The seeds are
embroidered on before the pink peel progresses too far. The white
flesh begins with a chain and is worked in continuous rounds around
the chain.

Start in white.
Rnd 1: ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 3 st, inc in next st.
Continue on the other side of ch: sc in next 4 st, inc in next st [12]
Rnd 2: (sc in next 3 st, inc in next 3 st) x2 [18]
Rnd 3: (sc in next 3 st, (sc in next st, inc in next 3 st) x2 [24]

Do not fasten off, but drop the loop and insert your hook front to
back through both pink loops of the first sl st from rnd 8, grab your

with loop on hook, insert hook through BLO of sl st & BOTH loops of
white st from rnd 7 and continue working each st for rnd 9 in this

Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Using a tapestry needle, weave yarn
through the front loop of the remaining 6 stitches and pull tightly to

changing to green Chain 1 and turn at the end of every row
