Week Three - Day Two Planning - Scripting Your Organic Content
The biggest mistake I see business owners make right now for their
organic content strategy is the fact that they just hand off the task to
someone with no intention.
Yes, this is something that you can outsource. It’s crucial for you as
the business owner to do this in the beginning.
No one knows your brand better than you do. Plus, when you get to a
point of outsourcing you know exactly what to look for.
Before we get into planning & scripting - the ultimate question I often
get is:
Long answer is that you will want to have some type of human tie to
your content. Whether that’s just your voice, actually being the face of
the content, or having someone you know fill either of those seats.
We aren’t selling physical products - so it’s not like we can just take
videos of our products all around the world in different scenarios.
All fit into quick paced videos under 15 seconds to favor audience
retention.
The first step to content creation is the planning itself. Our purpose in
this video right now is to put together a group of winning video ideas
and the scripts. We’re going to do this together.
I always start by building off of hook ideas. The hook is the most
important aspect to successfully growing organically. The platforms
we’re focusing on are designed to keep people’s attention, and to
keep them scrolling.
If we don’t grab their attention right off the bat - we’ve lost that viewer.
The way to grow organically is to increase your watch time. These
platforms want to keep people using their product for as long as
possible.
Now after we’ve reflected back onto some of our specifics we can
brainstorm some emotion spiking hooks (feel free to copy my ideas).
Hooks are essentially just the topic of the video. Since we’re creating
videos under fifteen seconds it’s not going to take a ton of content to
fill it up.
The main piece of your videos are going to be the value, and many
people mess this up by getting too fancy with their words and
concepts.
Let’s take one of our hooks from above and use it as an example.
I chose this one because it is emotion spiking, and specific to our ideal
client.
“There’s this thing called the wim hof method. People have passed out
from this breathing technique. But it’s used by millionaires across the
world to naturally get more clarity and focus.”
In the world of paid traffic, we use direct calls to actions like “Shop
now” with buttons that go directly to our website.
But this is the world of organic traffic. Where we must first focus on
building a community and building brand awareness.
The type of call to actions that are going to act as a cheat code for the
algorithm are things that boost engagement.
When you see a YouTuber begging for likes on a video - it’s not
because they really care about the number. They do it because the
more engagement a video gets the more the algorithm will push the
video to users.
The key to call to actions is rotating different ones across your videos.
