Exercise_1-Hello_World-Display-a-Message-Box
Aim:
To create and execute a simple "Hello World" automation workflow using UiPath Studio by displaying a
message box with the text "Hello World."
Equipment Required:
UiPath Studio (installed on the system with a valid trial or license).
Computer with a compatible operating system (Windows).
Basic system requirements such as:
Minimum 4 GB RAM
Minimum 2.0 GHz CPU
.NET Framework 4.6.1 or later installed
Procedure:
Start a New Project:
(i) Open UiPath Studio.
(ii) Under the New Project tab, select Process.
(iii) Enter the project name as UiPath Hello World.
(iv) Optionally, add a description for the project.
(v) Click on Create to begin.
Open Main Window:
(i) In the project dashboard, click on the Open Main Window link to navigate to the workflow editor.
Access Activities Tab:
(i) Locate the Activities tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
(ii) This tab contains various actions that can be used in the workflow.
Search and Add Message Box Activity:
(i) In the Activities tab, search for the Message Box activity by typing it into the search bar.
(ii) The Message Box activity can be found under System → Dialog → Message Box.
(iii) Drag and drop the Message Box activity onto the Drop Activity Here section in the main window.
Input "Hello World" Text:
(i) In the Properties panel of the Message Box, find the Text field.
(ii) Enter the text "Hello World" (make sure the text is enclosed in double quotes) into the Text field.
Save the Project:
(i) Press CTRL+S or use the save icon to save the workflow.
Run the Workflow:
(i) In the top-right corner of the window, click on the Debug File drop-down menu.
(ii) From the list, select Run to execute the workflow.
Observe the Output:
(i) Upon successful execution, a Message Box will appear on the screen displaying the text "Hello
World".
