(it is the number of ways in which a ligand can bind to the metals, here the
penta dienyl ring has 5 carbon atoms so it can bind through any of the five
atoms,, similarly 6 for benzene)

In the context of Ziegler-Natta catalysts, titanium tetrachloride (TiCl) is
the most commonly used form. However, titanium trichloride (TiCl) can
also be employed, particularly in certain applications or when modified
with other components to enhance its catalytic activity.
A)TiCl (Titanium Tetrachloride):
More reactive and often used as the primary catalyst component in
conjunction with an alkyl aluminum compound.
Forms the active catalyst upon reaction with the alkyl aluminum.

TiCl (Titanium Trichloride):

Can be used in some Ziegler-Natta systems, especially when an
electron donor is present.
Typically less reactive than TiCl but can be effective in producing
specific polymer structures.
