Question 1. Write a detailed note of the followings.
a) What is IP subnetting and how it is importance in network design.
b) What is a subnet mask, and why is it used? Explain its role in traditional subnetting and VLSM.

Question 2. Solve the following subnetting problems.


a) You have been assigned a network 250.150.50.0/24. Create 4 subnets for
different projects running in your company.
b) A newly establishing company has been purchased a following network of IP
addresses 200.100.10.0/24. Design this network for the following departments
using VLSM.
Sales: 126 hosts
HR: 62 hosts
IT: 30 hosts
Admin: 14 hosts
Finance: 14 hosts
c) Find the subnet ID and broadcast address for IP host address 192.168.10.25
with subnet mask /26.
