AHIST 1401-01: Art History

Introduction

To preamble, Art is really very important and we need to learn to aopreciate


it in different ways. For instance, some forms of art are there to inform or to
educate people on certain matters. Furthermore, art can also be helpful
based on the fact that it can help in preserving culture. For example, there
are some statues that are created to simbolize the actual kind of dressing
code associated with that particular group of people. Thus, this essay will
highlight the definition of art, and my strengths and weaknesses in studying Art
History based on what I have experienced in this week’s studies.

My own definition of Art

According to my opinion, art is a form of creation that is done to fulfil a wide


range of purposes. These arts are in form of sculptures just to name a few.
Furthermore, art creation can help to teach people, warn people or inform
people about something. It can also help in preserving culture. Examples of
such art are creations made from soil (moulding), from Stones,and from
wood just to name a few .
My strengths and weaknesses in studying Art History based on this week’s
experience.

One of my strengths in learning this course is based on the fact that, I also
develop a positive attitude towards my staffs. This will help me not to get
bored and achieve the success criteria of his particular week’s studies.
Secondly, the fact that I am courageous and open to learn new things it will
also act as fuel towards my achievement of this particular week’s objectives.

On the other hand, one of my weaknesses towards this course is based on


the fact that I do not know how to create different types of art. As a result, I
am just wondering how am going to learn it because it seems very
interesting and worthy to be learned.

Conclusion

To conclude, above are explanations concerning the definition of art, and my


strengths as well as weaknesses towards Art History course based on this
week’s experience.
