HOW TO ENABLE AUTOSWITCH WITH ALL CHANNELS WITH 1 VIEW

MODE 20S INTERVAL

In IVMS Application

Select Auto Switch

Click the plus button to add auto switch schedule

Add window and select resource or custom view

Drag the cameras to from left to right to your desired cameras to have auto
switch

Set the channels to one screen mode

Configure Auto Switch Time in the toolbar and set time to 20s

Select play button to start the stream to auto switch camera

HOW TO ENABLE LINE CROSSING DETECTION WITH POPUP NOTIF

Open IVMS

Go to Event Configuration > Video Event

Select the camera to have line crossing

Enable line crossing detection

Click Edit Linkage

Under Trigger client action select Pop-up Window

Enable Broadcast Linkage

click ok to apply settings

Ways to improve images too dark

We can use the following ways to improve the image from being too dark
during the night:

1. Smart IR - gives user option to adjust power of IR LED to provide clear


image that is not overexposed or too dark

2. AGC (Auto Gan Control) - gives option to amplify the signal from sensor to
make image brighter during night time

3. DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) - reduces the noise so user can get better
quality image during the night.
To Enable motion detection and configure the rule:

Go to configuration > Event > basic event > motion / Motion detection

Select Camera to enable motion detection

Tick Enable Motion Detection

Under VCA select Camera

In Area Setting / Area , Draw the desired area to enable motion detection

Set Sensitivity Level and Select Detection Target if human or vehicle

Select Aiming Schedule based on user's requirement

Setup Linkage if Alarm Pop-up , Buzzer Alarm, Notify Surveillance Center and
Send Email

Click Apply

2 Ways to activate and Upgrade Camera (NVR and LAPTOP/PC)

NVR - NVR, Patch Cord, IP Camera, Monitor, Mouse, HDMI

LAPTOP - Power Adapter, Patch Cord, SADP, IVMS

* NVR

Activate and Initialize NVR

Connect IP camera to NVR

SET CAMERA TO SCHEDULE IN SPECIFIC TIME AT CONTINUOS AT


OTHER TIME EVENT

Go to Configuration > Go to Record > Schedule

Select the camera to have a record schedule

Enable the Schedule recorder

Click Edit

Select the day you want to have a record schedule

Set the time 00:00-08:00 to event

Set the time 08:00-20:00 to continuous

Set the time 20:01-24:00 to event


On other days set the same as above

Click apply to save the settings

To Access the log information, you can do the following steps

Access the NVR

Login Credentials

Navigate on the upper left and select maintenance

Go to More

On Log Information set the time, on major type select operation

Select all options that apply

Select Export All

On Export Select the Device Name and Path (External Storage or Flash Drive
Should be connected)

Click Export

All Logs should be exported to the selected external storage

ADD IP CAMERA VIA NVR

To add the camera in the NVR you can do these following steps:

1. The NVR should be activated to add an IP Camera

2. Plug IP Camera to NVR Using Patch Cord

3. In the NVR go to Configuration (Gear Button) go to camera

4. Under Camera find the camera tab

5. In IP Channel Tab, go to online device list

6. Look for the camera to add and check the left box

7. Select the +Add button to add the camera to the NVR

Activate IP Camera & Upgrade Firmaware

Requirements: inactive camera, use power supply, POE Switch, Built in poe in
nvr, patch cord
patch cord to camera, patch cord to POE switch, connect laptop to poe
switch

install sadp

1. connect camera to laptop and laptop to camera, open SADP, wait camera
to be found in the SADP app (device type, S/N and inactive status) inactive -
no password, click camera on left tick box

2. to activate camera, input desire password QWERTY1122, and click activate

To open WEB GUI

1. find the IP address of the IP camera (ex. 192.168.1.164)

2. input ip address of the IP camera in any web browser

3. change ip address of laptop/computer in the same ip address pool of the IP


Camera

Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Sharing

Upgrade Firmware

1. Access WEB GUI using IP address of IP camera

2. input login credentials Username: admin Password: QWERTY1122

3. Configuration > System Settings - to check model and firmware version

4. Copy model of camera and go to hikvision website

5. paste model of camera in search of hikvision camera

6. Select the camera model found , Scroll down to find resources

7. Under resources go to firmware, under firmware, click dropdown, to see


the latest firmware version
8. Download the latest firmware by clicking the download button

9. Configuration > maintenance , under upgrade, select firmware

10. Browse for the downloaded firmware file select open

11. Wait for the camera to upgrade its firmware version

12. After upgrade, web gui and interface will be different
