MEMORANDUM
To : ALL HOLYNAMIANS

Subject : ADJUSTMENTS IN HEALTH PROTOCOLS

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 7 s. 2022, as adopted by the Provincial Government of

Bohol and the City Government of Tagbilaran, along with DepEd’s Memorandum No.
108 s. 2022, CHED’s CMO No. 9 s. 2022, and DOH’s COVID-19 Advisory No. 8 and
Department Memorandum No. 2022-0433, Holy Name University hereby issues the
following adjustments to the HNU Health and Safety Guidelines (2020) and Guidelines
for Entry of Non-F2F Individuals Inside the HNU Premises (2022).

1. Regardless of vaccination status, everyone, including visitors/guests with official

transactions, shall be allowed face-to-face and onsite activities in the University
campus. But full vaccination and supplementary booster shots are still highly
recommended.

2. No one is allowed to report for work or attend classes when feeling sick or
experiencing any of the following, though timely information must be sent to
affected offices or classes.
a. Fever
b. Sore throat
c. Severe cough
d. Breathing difficulty
e. Diarrhea and vomiting

3. Everyone’s temperature must be checked upon entry to the campus. The thermo
guns or thermal scanners provided in all entry areas should be strictly used at all
times. Any one with a temperature of 37.5°C or higher, even after a five-minute
rest, is not allowed to enter the campus.

4. The wearing of facemask is highly encouraged for all unvaccinated and partially
vaccinated individuals, the elderly, the pregnant women, those with comorbidities,
those who are immunocompromised, and those who are living with individuals
who are either suspected (with any of the symptoms in #2) or confirmed COVID-
19 cases. However, consistent with the above government issuances, the
University implements the following:
a. MANDATORY wearing of facemask when in an air-conditioned office,
classroom or laboratory, in the school clinic, or while onboard the school
bus/transport vehicle. Removal of the mask is strictly prohibited.
b. VOLUNTARY wearing of facemask in open spaces, non-crowded outdoor
areas, well ventilated non-air-conditioned rooms, as well as when playing
sports and when engaging in other open-air physical activities.

5. Occupancy in classrooms and all University areas (e.g. canteens, lounges,

covered courts, GS EMC, JHS EMC, Libraries, Nursing Skills Lab, Activity Center,
Barder Gym, Old Gym, BLR, Conference Rooms, Student Center, Alumni EMC)
may be at full capacity (100%) subject to the strict observance of physical
distancing and other health and safety protocols.

6. Regular RT-PCR or antigen testing is no longer required for unvaccinated

teaching personnel, but may still be requested for indoor events.

7. All Holynamians are to exercise diligence in complying with the customary health
protocols, such as the practice of good hygiene, frequent handwashing,
observance of physical distancing, and maintenance of good ventilation in indoor
settings.

These adjusted health protocols are effective immediately. Subsequent Executive

Orders, IATF Resolutions, Joint Memorandum Circulars, DOH Advisories or
Memorandums, or orders from DepEd, CHED, and the Legal Education Board, with new
prescriptions and provisions, shall prevail over these adjusted guidelines.

For guidance and compliance.
