D. review

Last week we are done with our first

quarter lessons. And I commend you all
for that for doing a great job. And today,
kept the fire burning as we go through
our second quarter lessons.
1. drill

This time we will having an activity.

A guessing game, called four pics. One
word. So in this game, Iwill show you
four pictures and you will guess the
word that relates the four pictures. And
that word will be the clue for our lesson
for today.

Here are the pictures.

Any idea? One student wiil rase his hand

Yes jake? Answer: Its all about money

maam
Money?
Yes its related to money, but its not the
word we are looking for. By the way, jake
thanks for trying.
Irish is raising her hands
How about you Irish, you raising your Answer: its about interest
hands. maam?
will that great!
Interest

Amazing!!! Now, that everybody has

mastered our lesson yesterday. I think all
of you are now ready for our new topic.

1. Drill
This time I have here set of images.
Now look at these images (flashcard).

Questions: 4.It is an angle.

1. Are you familiar with the places?

I think our topic for today is all

about Angles.
2. What place can you see on the
image no. 1? 2? 3? 4? 5?

3. From images no. 1-4, in what place

are they located?

4. What have you noticed? What

shape is being formed?

Based on the images being presented,

what do you think is our lesson for
today?

Very well said! Our topic for today is

all
about Angles. But before we proceed
to our new lesson, let me present to
you
our learning objectives.

3. Presentation
What is an angle?
Angle is a union of two non-collinear rays
with a common endpoint. The two non-
collinear rays are the sides of the angle,
while the common endpoint is the vertex.

Developmental Activity

1. Activity
Game
“ANGLES BINGO” (answer may vary)
Mechanics of the game: Each
student receives an empty (answer may vary)
Gameboard (5x5). The student is
free to pick numbers. Eleven (11)
numbers from1-30 (which measures
acute angle), two number 90 (right
angle),11 numbers ranging 91-120
and the center will be “FREE” and it
will be labeled as “ANGLE”. They
will be the one to decide what will
be the first pattern. The student
who can complete the first pattern
will be declared as winner.

Materials Needed:
 Game Board for each student
 Numbers for caller
 Small stones

2. Analysis
a. How was the activity?

b. How were you able to

complete the pattern?

3. Abstraction
What is an angle?
Angle is a union of two non-collinear rays
with a common endpoint. The two non-
collinear rays are the sides of the angle,
while the common endpoint is the vertex.

What are the parts of angle?

 Arms are the two rays joining to
form an angle.
 Vertex is the common endpoint at
which the two lines or rays are
joined.

For examples:

1. Chess board

2. Fingers formed letter “L”

3. Fan

4. Ice cream cone

What are the different kinds of angles?

1. Acute Angle – is an angle whose

measure is less than 90°, but
greater than 0°.
2. Right angle is an angle whose
measure is equal to 90°.
3. Obtuse angle is an angle whose
measure is greater than 90°, but
less than 180°.
4. Straight Angle – is an angle
measure 180°.
5. Reflex Angle – is an angle measure
more than 180°.
Complete angle – is an angle whose
measure 360°.

This time we try to measure angles to

test your accuracy ability.

What instrument is used

to measure an angle?

Protractor is a tool that is used

to measure angles.

(Let The student watch a video about the

protractor, its parts and its uses) 1. 01:00 - Acute Angle
How to measure an angle using 2. 12:10 - Acute Angle

4. 06:00 – Straight Angle
5. 09:00 – Right Angle
6. 12:00 – Complete Angle

1. Place the midpoint of the protractor

on the vertex of angle.
2. Line up one side of angle with the
zero line of the protractor.
3. Read the degrees where the other
side crosses the number scale.

That’s right! I think everyone of you
already mastered our today’s lesson. This
time we will be having an activity. Find
your partner (make sure that their
partner will be their ka-barangay to avoid
the spread of corona virus and observe
proper protocol during the conduct of
activity). Indicator #2
You can pass your output through
messenger (if applicable)or let your
parents bring your output during the
retrieval and distribution of modules.
Indicator #3

of Maasin. Each place is represented by
a dot and segments are used to connect
the places.

Direction: Complete the table below
