    Narrative Report
    Conducting of Test of Fundamental Academic Skills (TOFAS)

    The Department of Education (DepEd) has implemented the Test of


    Fundamental Skills (TOFAS) to assess the academic abilities of the learners. The
    initiative aims to provide educators with valuable insights into individual learners
    strengths and weaknesses, enabling targeted interventions to improve learning
    outcomes.

    As part of our commitment to academic excellence Tagpupuran


    Elementary School set the conduct of TOFAS classroom based last November 5,
    2024. Before the said date the advisers of Grades 4,5,&6 conducted orientation
    to inform the pupils and explain the purpose and importance of TOFAS. After that
    the faculty ensure that the pupils who will take the exam fully understand the
    instructions, purpose and procedures.

    On November 5, 2024 the Grade 6 pupils was set to take the exam
    first in the morning after that in the afternoon it was followed by the grade 5
    pupils. Two teachers were assigned to monitor and assist the pupils in case of
    inconvenience. On the second day November 6, 2024 in the morning the Grade 4
    pupils was set to take the exam, same procedure it was assisted by the adviser
    and one volunteer teacher.

    The test of Fundamental Academic Skills at Tagpupuran


    Elementary School was a resounding success. It has revolutionized the way we
    assess pupils learning outcome, yielding valuable insights into pupils strengths,
    weaknesses, and areas of improvement with that we are very thankful for the
    help of each and everyone who made this possible.

    Narrative Report on Training Workshop on the Crafting of Action


    Research on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management(DRRM) based on
    the New Action Research Toolkit

    The Division Training Workshop on the Crafting of Research on


    Disaster Risk Reduction and Management was held from November 7 to 9 and
    continues on November 15 and 16 @Shacene Ballroom, Tandag City. The five day
    training aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in designing and
    implementing action research focused on developing learners skills, capacity and
    capabilities inside and outside the classroom.

    Th e 5 day Training Workshop has given the best opportunity


    to Teachers to discover and create more innovative strategies to the benefit of
    the learners. As a newly hired teacher with lack of experience, I'm one of those
    grateful participant that I’m able to discover new learning's and strategies with
    my colleagues that I may apply in real scenario of my journey to teaching.

    We are very grateful to all the facilitators who had shared their
    knowledge and skills with us , we are very thankful for the fun and learning
    activities we had. As the saying goes that the best teacher is our experiences in
    life and that experience that I encounter during the training is one of the best, I
    learned new things, I met new friends and most importantly I enjoyed the training
    while learning.
