Computer Hardware Definition

 The physical part of the computer that we can touch and see is called the
computer. It will have weight and volume.

Input Device: Keyboard

 The computer keyboard is an input device used to enter characters and


functions into the computer system by pressing buttons or keys that are
available on the keyboard layout. We can enter our name via alphabet
Input Device: Mouse

 It is used to move the cursor. It has 3 buttons left click, right click, and scroll
button. The arrow on the Computer Screen will move along with the
movement of the mouse. Icon on the screen are also selected via it.
Input Device: Scanner

 An input device used to scan the documents, files, and pictures


Input Device: Camera

 It takes pictures as input. To capture any type of photo it is used.


Output Device

 It displays the information on the Screen.

 It prints the information displayed by the monitor on the physical paper to
make information visible in hard copy.

 Output device that produces audio output that can be heard by the listener
Central Processing Unit (CPU)
 It is the control center of a computer.
 It has two components: Control Unit and Arithmetic Logic Unit
 CU: Controls flow of all data and information
 ALU: performs arithmetic &logic operation
 It resides in side the computer case
Memory Module
 This stores data, instructions, and information.
 It has two types: ROM and RAM
 ROM (read-only memory)
 It is a nonvolatile memory that keeps the data safe even when power is
recycled.
 RAM (Random access memory)
 It is a volatile memory that loses the data when power is recycled.
Storage Device
 This stores data and information for a long period. It has a huge space for
keeping the data safe. It is measured in different units like 500GB.
Integration Of The Component
 All the input and output devices are connected to the main
CPU.
