TOKYO SKY TREE

*highlighted ra ang i-put sa subs*

Good day everyone, I am Gayle Salino, here to discuss to you the materials used in building the Tokyo
Sky Tree. So, let’s begin!

In building the Tokyo Sky Tree, the materials used were mainly steel and reinforced concrete. In case
you don’t know, Reinforced Concrete, or also known as ferroconcrete, is the concrete in which
reinforcements, in this case, the material used was steel tubes, are embedded in such a manner that
the two materials act together in resisting forces.

The Tokyo Sky Tree construction used extremely strong steel tubes around a central concrete column,
and two pieces are structurally separated from each other in the middle section of the tower. In case
an earthquake occurs, they designed a concrete core and steel frame to compensate for each other
and reduce the overall motion of the building.

That's all for the materials used. Thank you for listening!
