the Art of Expression, Reflection, Revelation, and Recreation" presented by
Grade 12-HUMSS S. Y. 2022-2023
The 4th Culminating Exertion of Theater Drama, themed “Drama as the Art of
Expression, Reflection, Revelation, and Recreation,” served as a vibrant showcase of
talent, creativity, and dedication from the Grade 12 HUMSS students. This contest goes
beyond simply showcasing students' creative presentations of written literature; it also
emphasizes their use of literary techniques to craft well-developed dramas.
The contest was divided in three categories according to the type of drama. The
first category that the students performed is the Tragedy Category. Under of this
category are the sections Amber, Breccia, Pumice, and Zircon, wherein the students
had performed in the morning. After the Tragedy is the Comedy Category performed by
sections Feldspar, Gabbro, Gneiss and Schist. The two categories end up at about
12:30 in the afternoon and the judges have their lunch late and the event resumed at
1:30 pm. Then, the Tragicomedy Category was performed by sections Quartz, Granite,
and Scoria and then had finished their performances at exactly 4pm. Awarding of
certificates and monetary awards to the winners finished at about 5 o’clock in the
afternoon.
The results of this contest highlight how effectively they have applied these
techniques, devices, and styles, reflecting what they’ve learned. Their work
demonstrates creativity in both writing and performance, offering insights into their
