    MEMORANDUM

    In terms of F.D. Memo No.5099-F (P1) dated 31.08.2023, the Governor has already been pleased to create
    inter alia one additional post of Engineer-in-Chief & Ex-officio Secretary, Public Works Department in
    respect of the cadre of West Bengal Engineering Service carrying pay level 24 under WBS (ROPA) Rule-
    2019 corresponding to Pay Band – 5 with Grade pay of Rs. 10,000/- under ROPA 2009 or pre-revised scale
    21.

    2. Now, the Governor is further pleased to apportion the said additional post of Engineer-in-Chief & Ex-
    officio Secretary into the cadre of West Bengal Engineering Service under Public Works Department with
    immediate effect.

    3. Such post of Engineer-in-Chief & Ex-officio Secretary ,PWD shall have the establishment at the office of
    the Chief Engineer, Planning, P.W. Dte., Bhawani Bhawan.

    4. The A.O.& Ex-Officio Assistant Secretary, P.W.D shall act as DDO and the charge shall be debited from
    the Head of Account ‘25-2059-80-001-002-01-V’ .

    5. All concerned are being informed accordingly.
