ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The development of this Micro project might not have been possible
without considerable guidance and support. So, we would like to
acknowledge to all those who have enable us to complete this project.
Firstly, we would like to thank our project guide Prof C.P.SALUNKE
and Head of Department for providing the guideline with continuous
advice and feedback throughout the duration of designing this project.
We also thank to the Dr. Parag Patil (principal of Government
Polytechnic Jalgaon) for providing us this golden opportunity to
embark on this project.
Secondly, we would also like to thank all other staff members of EE
department that we may have called upon for assistance since the
genesis of this project, their opinion and suggestion have helped us in
drafting this project.
Last but not the least, we would like to thank all our friends for their
valuable opinions’ and sharing ideas during the development of this
project.
Finally, we would like to thank our families for their understanding,
encouragement and support towards the completion of project.
Thank you

INTRODUCTION
A single-phase bridge inverter converts DC power into AC power using four switches arranged
in a bridge configuration. The operation involves controlling the switching sequence to generate
an alternating output voltage. This type of inverter is commonly used in applications like solar
inverters and uninterruptible power supplies.

COMPONENTS USED

WORKING PRINCIPLE
Working Principle:
The operation can be divided into two modes (assuming ideal conditions):
Mode 1: Positive Half-Cycle
• Switches S1 and S4 are turned ON, while S2 and S3 are OFF.
• This allows current to flow from the positive terminal of the DC supply, through S1, then through
the load ®, and returns to the negative terminal of the DC source via S4.
• This forms the positive half-cycle of the output AC waveform across the load.

SIMULATION OF OUTPUT WAVEFORM
13
ADVANTAGES
• Simplicity of Design: The circuit design is straightforward, making it
easier to understand and implement.
14
DISADVANTAGES
• Harmonic Distortion: The output waveform is typically non-sinusoidal,
leading to significant harmonic distortion. This can affect the performance
of connected devices and may require additional filtering.
