Tips and Tricks
Throughout my patterns, you will either flatten a piece and single crochet through both sides of the piece or
crochet two pieces together.
Insert your hook through both pieces and complete your stitch.
When you finish off some of your pieces, use an invisible finish. Once you finish the last stitch in the round, sl
st in the next stitch and leave a long tail for sewing. Insert yarn into your tapestry needle, skip the next stitch.
Insert needle under the next stitch, going under both loops. Take your needle and insert it into the blo of the sl
st you made and into the blo of the stitch you skipped. Pull your yarn to tighten the invisible finish. Then you
will either weave in your end or leave a long tail for sewing. I do an invisible finish with the ears and body.
Some of the patterns, you will join the legs together. You will chain the number of stitches stated, join with
the first leg you made by making a single crochet. When you get to the chain you will first crochet through the
back loops of the chain, crochet on the second leg and finally crochet in the front of the chain through both
loops.

Tips and Tricks
Throughout some my of patterns, you will work around a foundation chain. Work the first part of the chain as
normal and working into the last chain put 3 sc (or as many as the pattern states). You will move to the other
side of the chain and continue crocheting. This makes an oval shape.
I use an invisible decrease in all of my patterns. Insert your hook into the front loop of your next stitch.
Without taking your hook out of the loop it's under, insert your hook into the front loop of the next stitch. I
yarn under (feel free to yarn over), and pull your yarn through both loops. Yarn over to complete the stitch.
Some of the patterns, when you finish off a piece, you will weave in the end through the remaining front
loops. Once you cut your yarn, pull yarn out so you're left with a long tail. Insert your needle into each of the
front loops. After you finish putting your yarn through each of the front loops, pull tight to close and weave in
your yarn end.
Pattern notes
This pattern is worked in continuous rounds unless otherwise noted.
This pattern is worked with yarn under sc – Insert your hook under the top two loops, yarn under,
pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through both loops. This creates an “x” stitch.

*TIPS*
When working the curls, work them in the top loop of
the chain only. I do crochet tight, which helps form the
curls.
Sometimes if the curls don't form, you have to help
them a little by twisting the curl into place.
