Slide 1:
“Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I am ……. Today we are presenting our presentation on the topic
of Robots.
Slide 2: Introduction
The presentation introduces a new system where its users use their thoughts to control a robot.
The wearable EEG device captures brainwave activity, enabling the system to control the
The aim of the project is to develop an EEG-controlled robot that uses brainwave signals to
generate commands for its movements, improving assistive technology and human-robot
interaction. EEG technology captures brainwave patterns, enabling brain-computer interfaces for
external devices. Interpreting brain signals for robot control involves complex tasks like signal
processing, real-time mental command interpretation, and seamless integration with robotic
control systems. The goal is to analyze brainwave activity, create machine-learning algorithms,
To analyze brain signals, the project requires machine learning models, signal processing
techniques, and a wearable EEG device. The robot's movements must be controlled by the
system, which must process EEG data in real-time. Wearable EEG equipment, machine learning
models for categorizing brainwave patterns and translating them into orders for robots, and
signal processing algorithms for data analysis are among the technical requirements.
Slide 5: Project Constraints/Challenges in Implementation
The development of a robot capable of interpreting brainwave patterns is a difficult task that
timely response. Technical constraints include guaranteeing high accuracy when interpreting
mental commands. Besides, the process experiences operational and financial constraints
including low-latency control, and the expense of high-quality EEG sensors and training data
respectively. Data collecting is also a major challenge, especially for customized brainwave
analyses.
Slide 6: Method
The study used EEG signals collected from participants' brainwave data to control finger flexion
and extension. The signals were processed using a low-pass filter and incorporated into a glove
system. The glove had two linear actuators controlled by an Arduino Nano microcontroller, and
EEG signals were transmitted wirelessly through Bluetooth. The system architecture involved
linear actuators driven by EEG signals to assist finger flexion and extension.
Slide 7: Analysis
The soft glove effectively assisted finger flexion and extension with varying grasping forces for
the index, middle, and ring fingers. The glove system accurately responded to changes in
The system should be designed for usability and safety, especially for users with physical
impairments. Data privacy is important because it reflects personal brain activity. Additionally,
the system should be inclusive, and accessible to a wide range of users, providing effective
The study emphasizes the ability of EEG-controlled robots to improve people's lives, especially
those with disabilities. These technologies use brain signals to ease daily activities. However,
ethical issues are important, such as assuring safety, privacy protection, and simplicity of use.
The idea is to build a future in which robots can respond to human thoughts and provide
