F. Activities and Assessement

A. Map

1. I believe that I am already in the beginning stage


2. I can see myself 10 years from now as a distinguished teacher
3. I will involve myself in continuous professional growth and development through attending
various seminars which could help me in improving my practices as a teacher. I will also enrol in
graduate studies program to continue my studies for learning never stop.

B. Read

1. The career stages of teachers are the following: Beginning, proficient, highly proficient and
distinguished
2. I can go to the next higher career stage by engaging myself to activities which could help me
develop in my profession
3. Yes, it is possible . one can stay in 1 career stage for 5-10 years if he/she is being idle. If one does
not engage himself in developing his skills, he will not really grow.

C.What I Learned

1. Domains are general in nature. It covers a broad sphere of what teachers should target in the
teaching-learning process. On the other hand, strands are more specific dimensions of teacher
practice under every domain. And lastly indicators are the concrete and observable
manifestation that the domains and strands are being achieved
2. It is a must to set standards to set standards for the teachers to improve quality of education in
the Philippines. Through these standards as well, teachers are given a guide on how their
teaching must be done to reach the standards
3. Content knowledge and pedagogy. I consider this as the most important among the seven
domain for this must be achieved first before anything else. One cannot be considered a teacher
without having a mastery of the subject matter that he is teaching

C. What I Do

1. None, I am doing the aforementioned indicators


2. The indicators fall under content knowledge and pedagogy. It means that before you can reach
the next stage in your career, one must be knowledgeable and has the mastery of the subject
matter that he is teaching

E.

1. Teaching practices under 3.1.1 until 3.3.2 because these talks about the strategies needed to
accommodate the different needs of the learners
2. I will use differentiated and appropriate teaching strategies to cater the various needs of my
students. I will also design, plan and implement my own materials to personalize it for all my
learners.
G. Reflection

I believe that I can do all the indicators under the beginning stage which fall under the content
knowledge and pedagogy. It is needed a basic and a must for all teachers to have the mastery of the
subject matter that they are teaching. As a teacher, I know that I can move to the higher career stage for
I am doing everything that I could to improve myself and my practices as a teacher. I attend seminars
and workshops which could help me to become an effective and efficient teacher.
