    3. Synopsis
    Title: Database Management System (DBMS) with
    Emphasis on Indexing
    Objective:
    This project aims to provide an in-depth understanding
    of Database Management Systems (DBMS), with a
    focus on the concept of Indexing and its importance in
    improving query performance.
    Scope:
    • Database Design & Schema Creation
    • Implementing Relational Database Management
    System (RDBMS) principles
    • Application of Indexing for query optimization
    • Understanding of SQL Queries and Security in
    DBMS
    Methodology:
    We will create a case study of a Library Management
    System (LMS) and apply various DBMS techniques,
    including indexing, to improve performance. SQL will
    be used to implement and demonstrate concepts.
    4. Summary

    This project explored the essential


    concepts of Database Management
    Systems (DBMS), with a special emphasis
    on Indexing and its role in optimizing
    query performance. The
    Library Management System (LMS) case
    study demonstrated practical applications
    of these DBMS principles. Through the use
    of indexing, SQL queries, and security
    measures, the project showcases how
    DBMS tools can improve data handling in
    real-world scenarios.
