“LEARNING TO CODE IS USEFUL NO MATTER WHAT YOUR CAREER AMBITIONS ARE.

— ARIANNA HUFFINGTON, CEO, THRIVE GLOBAL

INTRODUCTION

In today’s rapidly changing environment, programming skills are essential tools that can be utilized and
incorporated into various fields and domains. When you learn to program, it is not only about the
knowledge you acquire, but also (and especially) about the useful transferable skills you get. And the fact
is that, in addition to becoming more precise and methodic, you significantly improve your problem solving
and abstraction skills when you learn to program.

When you hear the word “Programming”, what do you feel? Do you get scared? Or, does it sound
interesting to you? “Programming” normally provokes different reactions, and, indeed, programming is not
an easy task (although programming nowadays is easier than it used to be in the past). It is essential to
equip young minds with coding skills.

Programming Club aims to establish a coding culture in campus, with an intention to reach every
passionate student.

ABOUT

AMEYA, the Programming Club of Techno India University, will embark on its journey soon. "Ameya" is a
Sanskrit term meaning boundless, limitless, or immeasurable. Indeed, programming opens the door to a
world of endless possibilities. The club has been formed by a group of students from the departments of
CSE, CSE(AI), and CSBS who want to interact with like-minded peers and explore the world of computer
science. They are driven by their passion for coding and hunger to learn. The club's motto is INNOVATE-
CREATE-AMEND.

AIMS & ACTIVITIES

 Conduct coding competitions.

 Bring a competitive programming culture on the campus by being a part of the Codechef College
Chapter.
 Conduct Hackathons, Quizzes, fun activities.
 Build Capstone Projects.
 Contribute to various OPEN-SOURCE projects and take part in various OPEN-SOURCE
programs like Google Summer of Code and Hacktoberfest.
 Represent the college at inter-collegiate events.
 Take part in competitions like ACM-ICPC, Google Code Jam, Google Kickstart, Google Hash
Code, and other coding events.
OUTCOMES

Programming Club helps members gain in-depth knowledge of coding. This helps them immensely during
placements and can also bring laurels to the institution through various national and international
programming contests. The club also helps members develop an aptitude for logical thinking, visualizing a
