Unit 6 Test
Reading
Read. Then circle True or False.
Different animals live in different types of
places. The place where an animal lives is
called its habitat. Some animals live in the
coldest parts of the world. They like it there
and can stay warm. Deer, rabbits, and
raccoons can live in cold places.
Other animals live in the hottest parts of
the world. Those animals can find water in
strange places, like under the ground. A lot
of insects can live in hot places, too.
An animal’s habitat is very important. Some animals go to a different area when
the season changes. Birds fly to warmer areas during the winter and then fly back
during summer.
Do you sometimes see birds flying together in the fall? You can see them flying together in
the air. They are flying to a warmer habitat for the winter.
