Text:

Lhadja Aicha is my grandmother. She is 83 years old. She is a calm, patient and very
caring person. My grandmother is a very kind hearted lady. She always helps the poor and
advises us to help the needy. She never wastes her spare time. Our family is enjoying a good
life under her guidance. She takes care of us. She is fond of listening to Quran. She always
reads Quran after Elfadjr prayer. She can read and write.
She always tells us about her life in the past, she says that it was very difficult.
When she was young; seventy years ago; she used to live with her family. They used to
live in a traditional house made of mud. She didn’t use to go to school, but she used to go to the mosque like
all the children of her village, to recite the Quran and to learn how to read and write. She helped her mother
with housework and took care of her little brothers. She used to play with rag dolls.
