ABSTRACT
The study is about the use of Selective laser melting (SLM) which is an additive
manufacturing process (AM) for the fabrication of Ti6Al4V alloy. For the purpose of
studying about the properties of Ti alloy manufactured using SLM, Optical microscope,
scanning electron microscope, X-diffraction, tribometer etc. are used.
The results shows that the use of additive manufacturing has a definite advantage over
traditional process, but further study needs to be done on the betterment of its properties.
