Main purpose of Battery Charging Rectifier is to convert AC Voltage to DC Voltage. Rectifiers are designed to
charge batteries and to provide energy needs of DC power-fed devices.
Bora Rectifier series can be manufactured for different output voltage and currents. Model names are called
for these voltages and currents like as below.
BORA X X X X - X X X

For example
BORA 1024-50 is Monophase 24 Vdc 50 Amps Output Rectifier
BORA 3110-100 is There Phases 110 Vdc 100 Amps Output Rectifier
Battery chargers (rectifiers) can usually charge all battery types like as gel battery, liquid battery or dry battery
etc.
This device is manufactured for the purpose of battery charging and load feed. Charging method is designed
and made considering some cases as the device does not stop in fixed facilities. These model battery chargers
are microprocessor based and thyristor controlled. By microprocessor based system, charging parameters can
be modified. Due to the thyristor control, an extremely fast regulation is performed and the battery is not
impressed by voltage in fluctuations on system. It also provides complete protection against any user errors.
Battery charging process is performed automatically according to the parameters and programs which user
selected. Through charging process, Charge Current/Charge Voltage can be monitored.
a) Boost Charge: The device charges the battery until it reaches to boost charge voltage and step through
float charge when it reaches to boost charge value or when charge current falls under the limit value or when
it reaches boost charge time.
b) Float Charge: Constant current is applied initially, after reaching float charge voltage; constant voltage
charge technique is come into effect.
The rectifier can feed parallel loads to battery while operating at quick or float charge program. As long as the
rectifier is connected to the battery, a current from the battery to the loads is not possible. When the current
exceeds the power of the device, overcurrent is taken from the battery. As the situation returns to normal, the
device automatically completes the charge.
Preparing for the first operation; Please check the adequacy of the electrical installation before
starting the device up. Check whether the electric line and the fuse (at the beginning of the line) are
the appropriate values. Charge rectifiers are made in a way to work at a system voltage of 220Vac,
50Hz for low power-single phase and 380Vac, 50Hz for high power three phases. Please check the
number of the phases on the label of the device. Take consider of the labels on terminals of the device.
For three phase devices Phase 1 (R) – Phase 2 (S) – Phase 3 (T) - Neutral - Ground
These connections must be appropriate to the terminals.
When an abnormal value of fluctuation occurs at system voltage (if long term decrease of the voltage
is 15% or more) the device does not operate at desired capacity. Connect the plug/cable of the device
to the system in the shortest possible path. Absolutely make earthing. Your device has over-current
protection system, nevertheless use appropriate value of fuse to avoid any damage to the system.
Please read directions for use before operating your device. While making battery connection to the
device, check whether the voltage and AH (ampere-hour) values is accordant with the output values
of the device. Make sure that terminal markings are correct. Make your connections tight. In case of
any arc your battery may be damaged.
Do not connect an extra battery to your device when charging. Do not make any operation
before turning the device off. Do not use your device for other purposes in any way.

SERVICE MENU:
This menu is only for authorized technical service staff and the password is needed to enter this menu.
This menu is used to reset or readjust some critical values for only technical purposes.
Float Charge:
As noted above, for float charge it is important to keep the battery voltage on nominal level.
Therefore, charging current is automatically determined in accordance with the current
absorbed from the battery. Current value is limited to the adjusted charging current value. At this
stage if too much current is absorbed by the battery although charging current is reached adjusted
value, the device decreases the output voltage and keeps the output current at adjusted level. By
decreasing of absorbed current, the device increases the charging voltage to the adjusted value.
Equalizing Charge:
An equalizing charge is forced overcharge. It removes sulfation that may have formed during low-
charge conditions. Charging method is same with boost charge
