ACCESSING THE MAIN CONFIGURATION EDITOR

• Ensure the engine is at rest and the module is in STOP mode by pressing the
(Stop/Reset) button.

• Press the (Stop/Reset) and (Tick) buttons simultaneously.

• If a module security PIN has been set, the PIN number request is then shown:

• The first ‘#’ changes to ‘0’. Press the (Up) or (Down) button to adjust it to the correct value.

• Press the (Right) button when the first digit is correctly entered. The digit previously entered now shows ‘#’ for security.

• Repeat this process for the other digits of the PIN number. Press the (Left) button to move back to adjust one of the previous
DSE7310 MKII & DSE7320 MKII digits.

• When the (Tick) button is pressed after editing the final PIN digit, the PIN is checked for validity. If the number is not correct,
the PIN must be re-entered.
• If the PIN has been successfully entered (or the module PIN has not been enabled), the editor is
displayed:

EDITING A PARAMETER
• Enter the editor as described above.

• Press the (Right) or (Left) buttons to cycle to the section to view/change.

• Press the (Up) or (Down) buttons to select the parameter to view/change within the currently selected section.

TYPICAL WIRING DIAGRAM DEEP SEA ELECTRONICS 053-277
ISSUE 1
NOTE: A larger version of the Typical Wiring Diagram is available in the product’s operator DSE 9470 MKII Installation Instructions
manual, refer to DSE Publication: 057-277 DSE9470 MKII Operator Manual available from
www.deepseaelectronics.com for more information. INSTALLATION

NOTE: Please refer to DSE Publication: 057-291 DSE9470 MKII Intelligent Battery Charger
Operator Manual for further details.

WARNING!: For safe operation, the charger MUST be installed in an enclosure which
prevents accidental contact with Hazardous Voltages.

The DSE9470 MKII Intelligent Battery Charger is designed for convenient installation within a control
panel, either on the panel DIN rail using the integral mounts or on a chassis using the mounting holes. It
can be constantly connected to both the power source and the load, eliminating the need to disable the
charger during periods of high load (e.g., engine cranking) or when the generator is operational (even if
equipped with a DC charging alternator).

BATTERY SUITABILITY
The default charger is pre-configured by DSE to accommodate Lead Acid batteries, but it can be
customized upon request to support other battery types. It is important to verify that the batteries
connected to the charger are compatible with its specific settings.

BOOST MODE
The boost feature is controlled automatically without requiring an external connection. Manual boost can
be initiated by connecting the boost terminals (triggered manually through a Digital Input) together, such
as with an external switch or timer circuit. This will increase the battery charger floating voltage by 0.8V
DC. The feature can be configured using the Digital Input feature in the Configuration Suite.

USER CONNECTIONS

NOTE: Where the current rating has been user configured below the rated maximum
current, an appropriate fuse size must be selected to match the lower maximum output current.

5. Generating set load test

o The generating set should be tested on load.

o The load should be increased gradually up to stand-by rating, and during every step
of load, measurements are taken for current, voltage, frequency, power factor, active
Power, coolant temperature and oil pressure.
o The values are stored
o Readings shall be recorded on the < Factory Test Report=
o The recorded values are transferred from controller to test report by innovative
testing system using Modbus communication.
o All report values, including serial numbers and instrumentations are filled
automatically through testing system.
