( PLAN TRAINING SESSION )
Q: What are the questions you ask yourself when you started
to write this session?
Ans: I will ask myself if who are the trainees?what are their
characteristics? (language literacy and cultural background,
gender/age? and physical ability?
 Review and analyze relevant curriculum documents such as training
needs, learning outcomes, time, resources and target group, trainee’s
characteristics

Q: How you get your answer from your question?


Ans: I will get my answers from the data gathering instrument for
trainees characteristics that the trainees filled up

Identify read and interpret relevant modules such as (TNA) Training Needs Analysis
forms, Pre-training forms, or (RPL) Recognize Prior Learning / (RCC) Recognize
Current Competency forms, (CBC) Competency Based Curriculum, (CS)
Competency Standard and (TR) Training Regulations.

Q: What are the components of your session plan


Ans: The components of my session plan are industry sector, qualification
title, unit of competency, module title, learning outcome, learning
activities, evaluation and teachers reflection

 Finalize session plan according to required format such as Sector,


Qualification, Unit of Competency, Learning Outcomes, Introduction,
Learning Activities, and Assessment Plan.

Q: What do you consider when you selected your training


method
Ans: The consideration that I selected for my training method are the
learning
outcome/objectives, teachers, content, participants, training
techniques and time

 Address training methods that pertains to the required competencies to


factors consider in selecting training methods such as Content,
Objectives, Cost, Target Audience, Time and Resources.

Q: How do you organize your learning events (nine events of


instructions)
Ans: By way of organizing the nine events of instructions: gain attention,
inform learners of objectives, stimulate recall or prior knowledge,
present the stimulus/ materials, provide guidance for learning, elicit
performance and enhance retention and transfer
To determine the sequences of training activities I use any of the following such as
Simple to Complex, Hierarchy of Learning or Gagnes Theory.

Q: What assessment method did you choose for that particular session plan? Do
you think you made a good choice? Explain? (1)

 Identify and select suitable assessment method appropriate with the learning
outcome of a module which includes Demonstration Underpinning Skills,
Written Test Underpinning Knowledge, Portfolio Underpinning Skills,
Interview Underpinning Knowledge.

Q: In preparing the assessment tools, how did you consider the


validity and cost effectiveness?
Ans: I will consider the validity by preparing the evidence plan based on
the competency standard
and the table specification when you planning for a written test

 Check assessment instrument for Validity, Fairness, Safety and Cost


effectively when preparing assessment tool, I consider such as relevant
to (CS) Competency Standard, Dimensions of Competency and Rules
of Evidence and the cost of effective proper utilization of tools and
materials and table of specifications to ensure that well distributed of
items, (LO) Learning Outcomes is scoped in written exams.

Q: Why was it necessary to prepare a table of


specifications when you prepared your written test?

 To determine evidence requirements that are within the coverage of


training module and the required performance level for learning
activities should be in congruence with the assessment plan of the
session plan may include but not limited to Written, Interview, Demo
with Questioning and Portfolio.

Q: Give at least two adult learning principles that will always in


your plan in preparing session plan
Ans: a. Adults will only learn what they feel they need to learn and to
keep learning activities relevant to what they need to learn, make
sure you look at issues and how to work through them and keep on
track
and adults need immediate positive and non judgmental feedback
concerning their progress. Providing self assessment questionnaires
or checklist and quizzes are useful techniques to track their
progress. Make sure answers are readily available.

Preparing a session plan always integrate the Principles of Adult Learning such as
Ready to Learn Based on the Experience, Aware of what they Need to Learn, Variety
of Training Methods and Techniques, Practice Skills, Repetition, Realistic, and
Immediate Feedback.

Q: What should you do prior to the assessment activity?


Ans: PrioR to the assessment activity, I give orientation (introduce
yourself as assessor, check the attendance and admission slip

Identify and Organized Activities in the Workplace, or Assessment Centre such as


Assessment Guidelines, Schedule of Assessment, Availability of the Assessment
Centre and Candidates Evidence and Evidence Gathering Tool, Workplace Policies
and Procedures. Coordination with Assessment Centre Manager. Prepare Oneself
Punctuality, Grooming, Review on the Assessment Procedures. Roles of all people
involved. Confirm Assessment Record keeping and Reporting Arrangement are
Confirmed. Obtained, Check and Arrange Resources for Assessment such as Conduct
Site Inspection, Checked the Completeness of Assessment Resources, Checked then
Ensure Safe and Accessible Assessment Environment and Assessment Package

Q: What did you explain to the candidate during the


orientation?
Ans: I Explain the assessment guidelines clearly, the purpose and the
assessment process

Q: What is the purpose of assessment or orientation to the


candidate?
Ans: The purpose of assessment/ orientation is to check the candidates
readiness for assessment

 Explain the Context / Physical Setting, Purpose of Assessment /


Certification, Established Allowable Adjustment such as Language,
Religion, Culture, Health, Condition and Disability.

 Explain Legal and Ethical responsibility such as Right to Appeal,


Confidentiality, Free Consent for Assessment, (OHS) Organizational
Health and Safety, Adheres to Quality System, Policies, Procedure
and Integrity of the Assessor.
 Explain clearly the competency standards such as Qualification Title,
Unit of Competency, Elements, Methods of Assessment and The
Assessment procedures such as Established the Context and Purpose
of the Assessment, Prepare the Candidate / Orientation, gathered the
Evidence, Make Judgment, Recording and Reporting, Provide
Feedback, Review of the Assessment Process.

Q: Do you make sure that the candidate taking the assessment


is the person in the application form
the signature in the admission slip

Ask the Candidates to Submit Accomplished Admission Slip with ID Pictures, Present
a Valid ID, Sign Attendance Sheet and Compare with Signature in Admission Slip

Q: What is the purpose of giving an orientation to the


candidates?

Conveyed Information using Verbal and Non Verbal Languages which Promote a Supportive
Assessment Environment such as the Orientation is part of Preparing the Candidate for
Assessment, it is means to make the Candidates Relax and Not Apprehensive, it is means to
Provide a Supportive Environment by the Allowing the Candidates to be Clarified on the
Competencies to be Assessed.

Q: Do you make sure that the candidate understands the task


to be performed?
Ans: Yes, because I read to the candidate the specific instructions and
the tasks/activity to be performed.
Ans: The Dos and DONTs of an assessor while observing the candidate
performing the task is, assessor must follow the relevant
assessment guidelines in order to ensure that the assessment
processes are fair to all candidates and avoid the use of words that
lowers the self-esteem and confidence of the candidate

Explain the Task to be Performed, Provide the Specific Instruction to Candidate and
Allow Candidate to Read the Task to be Perform by him / her, Provide Time for the
Candidate to Clarify the Task.

Q: In the interview or oral questioning, when the candidates


answer is wrong, do you provide answers immediately?
Ans: No, we should not provide answers immediately but instead I will
rephrase the question that is easily understood by the candidates

During the interview if the answer of the candidate is wrong the assessor will not
provide the correct answer because it may pre imp the answer to the next question,
the candidate may think that he / she is finished and that the assessor is already
providing a feedback.

Q: What should be the basis of your assessment decision, if


you are of that situation, what do you do
Ans: The basis of my decision should be based solely on the result of the
assessment

The bases of my Decision are 4 Dimension of Competency, Rules of Evidence,


Evidence Requirements, and Corroboration of the Evidence to other Evidence. I
Make My Decisions Based on the Evidence Gathered in Accordance to Performance
Criteria.

Q: What would you provide in the feedback? In cases the


candidate does not agree with you? What would you do?
Ans: In cases the candidate does not agree with me, I will give immediate
positive and non- judgmental feedback
andexplain clearly the result, let him submit himself for re-
assessment and give hope to the candidate
and show pictures or videos as evidence that he was not able to
perform certain task

Gave Clear and Constructive Feedback and Reinforce Good Performance,


Explain Specific Areas for Improvement. Provide advice on further Training or
Practice to Improve Performance, if Judgment is Not Yet Competent I will
Provide Advice on Re-Assessment. In case the candidate to identify area of
disagreement and record it in rating sheet for both of us to sign.

( SUPERVISE WORK-BASED LEARNING )

Q: How will you identify or establish relationship with potential


participating companies
Ans: In establishing relationship with potential companies, we should
execute the use of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)

 Access and Interpret relevant policies and guidelines to guide the


development of work based arrangement such as Tie-Ups,
Partnerships, Linkage, Alliances, Coordination, Benchmarking, (MOA)
Memorandum Of Agreement, and (MOU) Memorandum Of
Understanding.

Q: Do you write a training plan for your student


Ans: Yes, we shouldwrite a training plan to serve as a guide in the
conduct of a training in the workplace

Identify and discussed with relevant personnel goals for trainees learning by Writing
a Training Plan and Purpose / Importance of Training Plan. Prepare training plan in
accordance with agreed outcomes in preparing of the training plan involves
expected learning outcomes to be learned in the industry will be met. Develop and
discussed agreed with relevant personnel on the training schedules

Q: Will you send your student to the participating company?


What preparatory activities would you do and why?
Ans: yes, to the institutional assessment

 Orient / Briefing and Explain to Trainees the Objectives for undertaking


work based training and the process.

Q: Will you monitor the performance of the student? Why is


this needed? When do you provide feedback to the
students?
Ans: We should monitorperformance of the students by using the
monitoring tools which are the progress chart and achievement
chart
and ensure that the trainees would attain the required competency
at
the end of the training program for them to be ready for the
assessment and give feedback in every after activity for them to
know
how well they are doing as they learn

 Conduct visit to work based training venue to ensure training


arrangement are implemented. Monitor and record trainees progress
against the training plan and check the Trainees Record Book,
Trainees Diary, and Journal.

Monitor (OHS) Organizational Health and Safety requirements to


ensure Health, Safety and Welfare of Trainees by ocular Visit /
Inspection, talk to supervisor about Trainees Performance, Identify
Risk and Hazards. Identify and Arrange support mechanism according
to the needs of the trainees by gathering feedback and meetings.

Q: One participating company will make unfavourable remarks


about the performance of the students. What will you do?
Ans: I will inform the students for more improvements of his
performance
and inform the core competency again

 To handle difficult trainees and situations about the unfavourable


performance of trainees in the company, first thing to do is ask for
Written Report from the company, make further investigation based on
the Written Report, provide Feedback to the trainees based on the
Written Report, with Action to verify the truthfulness of the Remarks /
Reports. Manage conflict in the session by provided counselling.

Q: How will you evaluate the effectiveness of the work base


learning? Why is there a need to conduct such evaluation?
Ans: We can evaluate the effectiveness of the work based training in the
conduct of monitoring so that you will know the strength and
weaknesses of the trainees

 Evaluate effectiveness of work based learning against the extend of


attainment of the objectives by using Program Evaluation Tool – to be
accomplished by trainees. Monitor Reports, Feedback,
Recommendations, Interpret all forms gathered from the company and
students compare with the training plan and get recommendations
based on the results of the interpretations.

( MAINTAIN TRAINING FACILITIES )

Q: Enumerate the major maintenance and housekeeping


activities performed by all personnel of your
classroom/lab./workshop. What improvement will you
recommend?
Ans: My recommendation is to check panel board, circuit breakers,
electrical connections, cables and outlets and turn on the
equipment for 5 minutes and observe for unusual noise or
abnormal operation
and if repair is necessary, send it to the qualified technician

 Prepare training resources such as Inventory of Equipment, Tools and


Supplies Materials. Identify and Prepare Maintenance Activities,
Resource and Schedule according to Job Requirements. Established
Maintenance Activities according to policies such as FEM Policies,
Established Maintenance Activities.

 Carry out regular inspection in the work area according to workplace


procedures and standards using Maintenance Schedule and Inspection
Checklist Form. Follow Maintenance Procedure in accordance with the
Manufacturer Manual and Organization Policies captured manufacturer
specification or specs in the maintenance schedule.

Identify areas equipment to be maintained using also a maintenance schedule and


inspection checklist form. Secure equipment in safe places in accordance with
procedures by workshop room properly secured, methods in securing workshop
room.

Q: What is the SOP of your institution when the equipment is


found… out of order? What would you recommend for an
improvement to this procedures? Why or why not?
Ans: We should request for repair/replacement, it depends on the report
of the technician

Response to failed or unsafe equipment in accordance with Organizational Policies


and Procedures to prepare Equipment Inspection / Breakdown Report, Report
Faults or Repair Requirements and Request for Faults or Repair Outside Area of
Competencies

Q: Describe your institution in recording and documentation of


equipment/machine maintenance of repair. If none, what
can you recommend?
Ans: My recommendation is to use a logbook with code and description,
time and date, signature of the in charge personnel

Prepare requisition for Instructional Equipment, Tools, Supplies, Materials, according


to established procedures by using of Purchase Request Form. Identify and Justify
the Equipment, Tools, Supplies and Materials with the purpose.

Q: Describe your institutions waste disposal system. If none what can you
recommend? (1)

 Check Disposal of Waste and Dangerous Chemicals in accordance


with Occupational Health and Safety, Regulations and Organizational
Policies and other regulations by Waste Management System /
Segregations, Regular Checking of Waste and Personnel In-Charge.

Q: Describe your institutions recording and documentation of equipment /


machine maintenance and repair. If none what can you recommend? (0.5)

 Our institution has a maintenance record to document and report


activities according to organizational policies and also safekeeping of
documents in the filing cabinet.
