1. Introduction to Photoshop
 What is Adobe Photoshop?
o A powerful image editing software used for photo editing, graphic design, digital art, and
more.
 Interface Overview
o Menu Bar: Located at the top, contains drop-down menus for various commands.
o Toolbox: Usually on the left, houses tools for editing and painting.
o Options Bar: Below the menu bar, displays options for the selected tool.
o Panels: On the right, includes layers, color, and other panels.
2. Basic Tools and Functions

2.1 Selection Tools


 Rectangular Marquee Tool
o Function: Selects rectangular areas.
o Example: Use this tool to select a section of an image for cropping or editing.
 Lasso Tool
o Function: Freehand selection.
o Example: Draw around an object to select it for isolation or modification.
 Magic Wand Tool
o Function: Selects areas based on color similarity.
o Example: Click on a color to select areas of similar color, useful for removing
backgrounds.

2.2 Brush Tools


 Brush Tool
o Function: Paints and draws on the canvas.
o Example: Adjust brush size and hardness to create different effects like soft gradients or
hard lines.
 Eraser Tool
o Function: Erases parts of the image or layer.
o Example: Use to clean up mistakes or remove unwanted areas.
