Proposal for Establishing a Multidisciplinary Hospital in Vanga, Faridpur

( Arifa Imdad Ahsania Mission Medical Institute).

Introduction and Background

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) has long been a pioneer in driving community development
initiatives across Bangladesh, with a particular focus on enhancing health and education
services. Over the years, DAM has successfully implemented numerous projects that have
significantly improved the quality of life for many Bangladeshis. One of its most notable
achievements is the establishment of the Ahsania Mission Cancer and General Hospital
(AMCGH) in Uttara, Dhaka. This hospital has become a beacon of hope for countless
individuals seeking high-quality cancer treatment and general healthcare services.

The success of AMCGH in Dhaka has been a testament to DAM’s commitment to providing
accessible and effective healthcare solutions. Inspired by this success, AMCGH is now ready to
extend its healthcare services to the rural community of Vanga in Faridpur. This ambitious
project has been made possible by the generous donation of 12 vigha of land from a
benevolent donor (Kazi Arifa Imdad), who shares AMCGH's vision of improving healthcare
access in underserved areas.

The planned Multidisciplinary Hospital in Vanga, Faridpur, will be developed in several

phases, each designed to address the immediate and long-term healthcare needs of the local
population. This new healthcare facility will not only provide essential medical services but
also play a crucial role in the socio-economic development of the region by creating job
opportunities and fostering a healthier community. The project aims to replicate the success
of AMCGH (Uttara) in Dhaka, bringing state-of-the-art medical care to the people of Faridpur
and surrounding areas.

Through this proposal, AMCGH outlines its comprehensive plan to establish a fully functional
Multidisciplinary Hospital, detailing the objectives, phased development, financial plans, and
expected outcomes. This initiative represents a significant step forward in AMCGH’s mission
to improve healthcare accessibility and quality across Bangladesh, particularly in rural areas
where such services are most needed.

Purpose

The purpose of this proposal is to present a detailed plan for the phase by phase
establishment of a Multidisciplinary Hospital in Vanga, Faridpur. This initiative is driven by
Ahsania Mission Cancer and General Hospital’s (AMCGH) commitment to enhancing
healthcare accessibility and quality in underserved areas. The project will be realized through
the collaboration and support of various donors and stakeholders who share AMCGH’s vision
for community health improvement.

This proposed hospital aims to provide a broad spectrum of healthcare services to the local
population. It will be equipped to offer (provide) specialized cancer treatment, addressing a
critical need for advanced oncology and neurology services in the region. In addition to

Page 1
cancer& neuro care, the hospital will provide comprehensive general health services like
internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology, and emergency care. The inclusion of
various specialized medical services will ensure that the community has access to holistic and
high-quality medical care close to home.

improve health outcomes but also to foster a healthier community through preventative care,
early detection, and effective treatment of illnesses. This facility will serve as a cornerstone
for the local healthcare infrastructure, promoting overall well-being and contributing to the
