ERIKICATION OF SUPERPOSITION THEOREM "
.
Apparatus:
Kit 2. Patch cords 3. Digital Multimeter
The Kit
comprises of the following built in parts
Fixed Output DC Regulated power supplies of 2V& 5V DC..
2.Three Analog meters are mounted on the front panel to measure the
values of voltages and currents.
3. Different types of resistances are also
provided on the front panel
4.Circuit diagram for Superposition Theorem is printed on the front
panel and important connections brought out on sockets.
Theory:
Superposition Theorem states that in a network of linear resistances
containing more than one source of c.m.f. the current which flows at
point is the sum of all the currents which would flow at that any
e.m.f source (Voltage point if each
source) is considered separately and all the other.
e.m.f sources
replaced by resistances equal to their internal resistances (if
any)
Procedure:
Note: - Always switch OFF the instrument when
you are connecting the
circuit, after that switch ON thé Instrument. To measure the curent from
. : any.branch (,resistance as.shown in Figs, connect current meter in
ofthat.branch resistance at atime. To note down the current fromseries
branch / resistance connect current other
meter in series of that
particular
branch/ resistance, while the previous current meter points (or any other.
points for current mcter) should be shorted.

As IclA+ Ip hence superposition theorem is verified.
Precaution:
1) Check the connections
2) Check the output of DCproperly
before switching ON the supply.
