Welcome to Bentley Institute Academic Program

The Bentley Institute Academic Program is committed to helping prepare students for tomorrow’s
infrastructure workforce. The Academic SELECT Subscription provides academic institutions with a
comprehensive portfolio of more than 50 applications from Bentley, enables educators to give their
students hands-on experience with the same software used by infrastructure professionals worldwide,
providing them with an important competitive edge when they explore job opportunities.

Getting Started with the Academic SELECT Subscription:


Your Academic SELECT Subscription allows you to access 50+ Bentley products. Please see our Academic
SELECT Software Portfolio for a list of software available. Below are the benefits that you will be getting
under this subscription:

- Access to 50+ software (with latest versions) of different disciplines like Building Design, Reality
Modelling, Hydrology, Mine Design, Structural Analysis, Offshore Structural Analysis, Electrical
Design, Plant Design, and Modeling and Visualization
- Access to STUDENTserver from where students can download the software on their personal
machines for practicing and their projects
- Access to online learning material, on-demand videos through LEARNserver.
- Training workshops for students and educators

Activation Process:
For the administrator:

Please ensure you are connected to the internet and have your Bentley profile user name and password.

When you launch your downloaded application and complete the installation process.
Many of our products now use Subscription Entitlement Service (SES). So, in order to activate the product, the
administrator needs to sign in using the Fulfillment Contact username and password in CONNECTION Client
whenever prompted.

For users other than the administrator (STUDENTserver activation):


All students and professors can create their account on Bentley’s STUDENTserver which is a
complimentary benefit of the Bentley Academic SELECT Subscription program. The unique School
Code enables self-service access, license for personal computers, and learning opportunities for
students and educators.

For registration on the STUDENTserver, students/educators will be required school code. Please send us an
email at [email protected] with the request or send us an email at the contact details shared on the
last page of this document for getting the school code.

The school code is also shared with the administrator of the account via email.

Steps to register on STUDENTserver:

1. Visit STUDENTserver: http://apps.bentley.com/studentserver/home/index

2. Click on Register Button


3. New User will see below page:

4. Please enter the requested details in the Create your profile form. Users need to select their country
as Trinidad and Tobago (by default this country is the United States).

5. Click on the verification link which you will receive on the email ID you used for the registration.

6. Set Password:
7. This will complete your registration for STUDENTserver.

8. Now go back to http://apps.bentley.com/studentserver/home/index & sign in into


STUDENTserver using your email ID and password.

9. Click on Download Software Link, it will ask you for School Code.

10. After entering the school code click on submit.


11. Now close the window. Go to the STUDENTserver homepage
http://apps.bentley.com/studentserver/home/index. Sign in and click on the “Download Software”
link. Accept the Connect Agreement.

12. You will see the Software Download portal to download the Bentley Software.

13. Now you can visit STUDENTserver anytime for below offerings
a. Self-service downloads of a comprehensive software portfolio
b. Licensing for personal computers
c. Access to on-demand, self-paced learning, and student learning paths

Notes:
- Unique user login required – Individual login should be created for each student
or faculty member on STUDENTserver.

- To activate the software via STUDENTserver, you must take the activation key from the
same STUDENTserver account using which you have downloaded the software.

- STUDENTserver offers access to on-demand, self-paced learning and student learning paths
under the “Take online training” option and certificates, which can be provided to educators
or potential employers, to showcase technical expertise.
- Full upgrades to the latest software versions are always available on STUDENTserver.

- Visit Bentley Communities - Bentley hosted BeCommunities provides a wealth of opportunities to


interact with professionals, Bentley users and fellow educators, search for important information
in wikis, and ask questions to Bentley subject matter experts directly regarding a product.

- We also arrange on-demand training sessions of Bentley products for faculties and students, you
can contact us for such requests.

Connection Center:
The Connection Center is a personal portal is intended to be each user’s launch point into CONNECTED
Projects and Services, it is a collection of tiles that includes Learn Content, Bentley Communities, and
My Support options. Connection center provides you following benefits:

- Easy to use Calendar and scroll the upcoming events for the next few months
- Access learning material availableon LEARNServer.
- My Support tile to create service requests for the Bentley products that you are using or
problems you are facing while using it
- Access wikis related to featured projects that are done all over the world using Bentley
products
- Search box for BeCommunities to find how-to tips, Bentley product support, best practices,
opinions and advice from peers and Bentley subject matterexperts.

Technical Support – Bentley provides 24/7 technical support coverage:

To connect with Bentley’s Technical Support group:

- Submit a service ticket via Bentley’s Connection Center or visit https://apps.bentley.com/srmanager/


- Use the same username/password to login into Connection Client that you normally use to
download the software.
- Fill up the details and submit the request. Our technical team will contact you to solve
your query
